While we’re incredibly excited to see her step back into her breakthrough role as Jackie Burkhart in Netflix’s That ‘70s Show reboot, That ‘90s Show, it’s a feature length production that currently has everyone talking about Mila Kunis. Netflix recently dropped the Kunis led thriller, Luckiest Girl Alive, and fans are eating it up. In fact it’s so popular that the movie is currently resting in the #1 position on Netflix, meaning that if you were looking for a drama-filled flick to watch this weekend, this should be the one.

Described as a revenge-mystery, Luckiest Girl Alive is an adaptation of Jessica Knoll’s 2015 New York Times Bestseller of the same name. In the film, Mila Kunis stars as Ani, a wealthy editor at a big name New York City based women’s magazine. While things may seem to be coming up roses for the 28-year-old engaged woman, trauma she thought long buried in the past soon begins to surface, changing her life forever.

First there’s the fact that she experienced the most terrifying thing a teenager could face – a school shooting – and was also gang raped when she was 14, with the latter horrific event not being believed by the adults surrounding her. The story follows Ani as she uncovers all of these buried memories and begins to wonder if the life she’s found herself living is really making her happy or just a way to shove the unpleasant feelings down. With leading roles in productions like Black Swan, Mila Kunis absolutely shines in the part of the troubled young woman.

Along with Mila Kunis, Luckiest Girl Alive also stars a familiar cast of faces. Included in the lineup are Finn Wittrock (American Horror Story), Jennifer Beals (The Book of Boba Fett, The L Word), Justine Lupe (Succession), Connie Britton (The White Lotus), Thomas Barbusca (The Mick), Chiara Aurelia (Cruel Summer), Alex Barone (Dopesick), and Scoot McNairy (Argo). Luckiest Girl Alive was directed by Mike Barker, who holds credits in productions including Netflix’s series The Sandman, Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale, and ITV’s Broadchurch

As we mentioned above, Mila Kunis will soon be returning to the production that kicked her career off when she was just 14-years-old. She and many members of the cast and crew of That ‘70s Show are heading back to the fictional town of Point Place, Wisconsin to tell a new story with both familiar and fresh faces. It’s been almost 20 years since we saw the gang gather in the basement of the Forman’s home and sit in a circle to come up with some incredible ideas, so the series feels like a longtime coming.

Along with Mila Kunis, the reboot will see the return of her now real-life and on-screen husband Ashton Kutcher, Topher Grace, Laura Prepon, Wilmer Valderrama, Debra Jo Rupp, Kurtwood Smith, and Tommy Chong. Missing from the original lineup is Danny Masterson who’s currently standing on trial in Los Angeles on several counts of rape. That ‘90s Show will follow Leia Forman (Callie Haverda), the daughter of Eric (Grace) and Donna (Prepon) who moves in with her grandparents Kitty (Rupp) and Red (Smith) for the summer with hijinks bound to ensue.
