Actress Mila Kunis, best known for her role in That ‘70s Show, confirmed to Vanity Fair that she lied about her age when she got the part. Kunis was 18 years old when she landed the role of Jackie Burkhart; at least, that’s what she told everyone. In reality, Kunis was just 14 years old when she auditioned.

Many fans had speculated whether Mila Kunis was 14 when she signed to star in That ‘70s Show. The actress confirmed that by the time she went to what she called a “producer’s network call,” she’d put an asterisk on her contract. However, the producers were so enthralled with her audition that they let it slide. Co-creators Bonnie and Terry Turner were also aware of Kunis’ actual age.

Mila Kunis shot into Hollywood stardom thanks to her role in the hit series. Before her breakthrough role, Kunis had minor appearances in television shows and landed a role in a Barbie commercial. During her time on That ‘70s Show, Kunis won two consecutive YoungStar awards for Best Young Actress in a comedy TV series.

It’s funny hearing about the secret Mila Kunis kept to get the part, considering the actress now has a huge problem with the upcoming reboot, That ‘90s Show. The reboot brings back most of the original cast, including Kunis herself. However, Kunis believed there were some inconsistencies regarding her character’s love life and how it concluded in the show.

Regardless of Mila Kunis’ opinions about her character, That ‘90s Show is sure to be a hit amongst fans of the original series. The reboot has yet to have a release date as of this writing, but it was announced to premiere on Netflix. The show will focus on Donna and Eric’s daughter as they visit their grandparents during the summer.

With the reboot coming along, it’s only fitting that fans are beginning to hear more of the behind-the-scenes of That 70s Show. The series had excellent ratings during its run, though its eighth and final season was the lowest-rated season. Although the ratings slump the show suffered, That ’70s Show did go on to become Fox’s second-longest-running live-action sitcom behind Married With Children. The show also brought together Mila Kunis and her lifelong partner Ashton Kutcher.

The two had some very awkward moments on camera in the past. Fans may remember that after Ashton Kutcher spoke about his experiences suffering pancreatitis while preparing for a role, Mia Kunis was asked to weigh in on what happened. The actress called her husband “dumb” and claimed Kutcher had downplayed the situation.

While that certainly was an awkward moment, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher have shared similar perspectives regarding social media. When asked why she doesn’t have a social media presence on her own, Kunis referenced her husband’s “forward thinking” approach to using platforms such as Instagram and Facebook. She stated that while the goal of social media used to be “to connect with people,” it has since turned into something “negative.”

Mila Kunis does still appear on social media, just not on hers. We’ll have to see if she reveals more secrets about her time on That ’70s Show on social media or during interviews before the reboot premieres on Netflix.
