Michael Keaton Gives Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Review And We Can’t Wait
Ever since the upcoming Beetlejuice sequel was first announced, fans have been eagerly awaiting the Michael Keaton-led film with cautious optimism. Legacy sequels released decades after the original IP rarely please fans, leaving some recent films such as Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny to be quickly discarded and forgotten.
Luckily, Michael Keaton claims in a recent SiriusXM interview that he has personally seen a cut of the upcoming Beetlejuice Beetlejuice film, and provided a glowing review of the sequel for fans far and wide.

The SiriusXM interview, which is available to view on YouTube, sees Michael Keaton discussing a few key behind-the-scenes moments in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, while also providing his own preliminary review of the film.
According to the beloved actor, the sequel contains stunning visuals and an emotional story that centers the over-the-top comedy of the gothic movie with themes of family, togetherness, and the afterlife.
Keaton continued to express his interest in viewing additional cuts in the editing room before the film is officially ready to premiere.
Beetlejuice Cast Returning
Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, and Katherine O’Hara are poised to reprise their respective roles in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, with an all-star cast of newcomers to the franchise rounding out the ensemble.

While little is known about the film’s plot at this time, it seems clear that the title character will return after being summoned to the mortal realm, causing a chain reaction of otherworldly events.
While speaking on his process for returning to the character, Michael Keaton claims he hadn’t seen the original Beetlejuice from beginning to end in years until fairly recently.
Rewatching Beetlejuice
Of course, a rewatch was in order to ensure that the leading man bring his zaniest and raspiest possible performance to the screen.
When describing the working environment on Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Keaton specifically highlighted Catherine O’Hara’s contribution to the film, stating that she’s twice as hilarious in the sequel as she was in the already gut-busting original.
Michael Keaton’s Career
Since Michael Keaton’s breakout performance in Beetlejuice all the way back in 1988, the star actor has gone on to become a massive part of several popular franchises, including both the Marvel and DC cinematic universes.
Keaton portrayed the Spider-Man villain, the Vulture, in 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming and reprised his 80s Batman role in a pivotal performance in last year’s The Flash.
In the years since Beetlejuice’s success, Keaton has also appeared in a number of critically acclaimed films, including Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), Spotlight, The Founder, and many others.
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice And Expectations
The first Beetlejuice film premiered in theaters nearly 40 years ago and has since become something of a cult classic for its unique gothic aesthetic, jaw-dropping visual effects, and darkly comedic tone.
