See Michael J. Fox Reunite With Back To The Future Cast In Heartwarming Photos
Michael J. Fox reunited with some of the cast of Back to the Future at a recent convention.
Instagram is a great way to keep in touch with friends and family, but the platform is also excellent for seeing what the cast of Back to the Future is up to these days. Photos recently surfaced showing Michael J Fox, Lea Thompson, Christopher Lloyd, and Tom Wilson happily reuniting at a convention in Portland to an enthusiastic crowd. And the crowd is right to be enthusiastic. Back to the Future is a now classic science fiction staple that has stood the test of time … or should we say time travel?
While Michael J Fox and company have aged over the years, the enthusiasm for the Back to the Future franchise has not. While the original run of films featured back-to-back sequels in the late ’80s and ’90s, Back to the Future lives on in the present day with an upcoming animated Netflix series. Fans of the franchise will be thrilled to know that Christopher Lloyd has expressed interest in the animated series, but unfortunately, Michael J Fox will not be present in this iteration due to ongoing health issues with Parkinson’s Disease. Despite the lack of active participation in the reboot, Michael J Fox is still enthusiastic about the future of Back to the Future.
Lea Thompson happily says “Look what the cat dragged in! Love you!” to Christopher Lloyd in a heartfelt selfie video at the convention, and they’re both smiling from ear to ear. Michael J Fox is also seen sitting on the panel with the crew, and everybody looks thrilled to be there. Lloyd is sporting a more conservative haircut than he did during his heyday as Doc Brown, but the light in his eyes is all the same.
The beauty of the Back to the Future franchise is that such likable characters on film are seemingly still good friends off-screen. Marty McFly’s 1985 adventures led him to become friends with his father in 1955, and this taught us all a lesson about friendship. Strong bonds in friendship, both on screen, and off screen, will always transcend time, and these convention photos show us all that while life has taken the crew on different career paths over the years, they still enjoy each other’s company.
If you’re a film collector, then you might be disappointed to know that Back to the Future VHS tapes are selling for a startling amount of money if you’re trying to complete your collection. But the other side of the coin is that if you have a copy in great condition, you could definitely see a hefty chunk of change if you’re willing to part ways with it.
