Michael B. Jordan was the most acclaimed part of the most acclaimed Marvel movie, becoming one of the few villains in the franchise to be at least as interesting and nuanced as the hero. Black Panther was the first comic book movie to be nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards and grossed over a billion dollars, much of which can be attributed to Michael B. Jordan’s magnetic performance as the Marvel character Killmonger. According to our trusted and proven sources, Michael B. Jordan will be returning to the character not only for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever but for two more secret Marvel projects.

There have been rumors swirling for months that Michael B. Jordan would be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the Black Panther sequel, though it is not certain in what capacity. His character of Erik Stevens aka Killmonger aka N’Jadaka was killed in personal combat by the Black Panther (the late Chadwick Boseman), climactically dying as he watched the Wakanda sunset. However, there are a lot of options for how he could be brought back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For one, it has been explicitly shown that the after-life plane of Wakanda contains ancestral spirits who can communicate with the living, so he could easily show up there. For another, the MCU is going all in on the Multiverse concept that allows for an infinite number of Killmongers to appear.

This has already actually happened, with Michael B. Jordan reprising the role in Marvel’s What If…? series on the Disney+ platform. The character had his own episode (in which he was shown to manipulate Tony Stark for his own villainous ends) and reappeared in the season one finale, ending up locked in eternal struggle with a version of Arnim Zola in an isolated pocket dimension (it’s kind of a weird show). It is clear that the actor has a fondness for his Marvel character, so it will be pretty cool to see him show up in a few new places.

According to our reports, Michael B. Jordan has already filmed at least one appearance back in the world of Marvel, not including Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. It could be for any number of movies or Disney+ shows, ranging from flashbacks to his military service (possibly in the Don Cheadle War Machine show) or being impersonated by a Skrull (perhaps in the Secret Invasion series), or something else entirely. The announced upcoming Secret Wars event allows for a tantalizing number of heroes and villains to return, so seeing Michael B. Jordan ruling over his own personal mini-world in the Marvel Universe is a definite possibility.

Aside from his impending return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Michael B. Jordan has a lot going on. He will be returning to his other franchise with the upcoming Creed III and will star in the Danny Boyle science fiction film Methuselah. The latter will see him portraying a thousand-year-old man with a lot of butt-kicking skills, which certainly sounds like a fun time.
