See Michael B. Jordan And Jonathan Majors Shirtless In The Ring For Creed 3
Total Film has released new images of Jonathan Majors and Michael B. Jordan from the upcoming sports drama Creed III.

The magazine spoke to Jordan about his experience making the upcoming film, including getting in the director’s chair for the first time. You can see the images below.
Along with marking Jordan’s feature directorial debut, Creed III will be the first film in the beloved Rocky series to not feature Sylvester Stallone as Rocky Balboa. Speaking of the icon’s absence, Jordan said, “[Rocky Balboa] will always be a pillar in Donnie’s life, but Creed III is really the dawn of a new era for the franchise and the character.” However, there is reason to believe Michael B. Jordan’s hero’s mentor won’t be there to help him fight Jonathan Majors’s character for reasons that have little to do with the creative side of things.
Sylvester Stallone recently revealed he won’t be bothering to see Creed III when it hits theaters in March or any other time for that matter. He called Irwin Winkler, the producer who holds the rights to the Rocky franchise and has reportedly refused to sell him back the rights, “nefarious” and that he refuses to see the upcoming spinoff. It seems likely that has something to do with why he won’t be there along with Michael B. Jordan and Jonathan Majors for the new film.
In spite of Stallone’s absence, Creed III won’t be without some incredible star power. Along with Michael B. Jordan and Jonathan Majors, the upcoming sequel will see the return of Tessa Thompson (Thor: Love and Thunder) as Adonis’s main squeeze Bianca, Phylicia Rashad (For Colored Girls) as his mother Mary Anne, Wood Harris (The Wire) as his trainer, and even Florian Munteanu (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) comes back as Adonis’s last challenger Viktor Drago.
There was a lot of early speculation that, just as 2018’s Creed II had Michael B. Jordan’s hero facing the son of his father’s killer in the ring, the next film would see Jonathan Majors playing the son of Clubber Lang; Mr. T’s merciless boxer from 1982’s Rocky III. That’s turned out to not be the case but the trailer that dropped for Creed III last month reveals the most recent movie seems to share at least a few beats from the 1982 film.
We don’t know the entire story yet, but Michael B. Jordan’s challenger this time, played by Jonathan Majors, is an old acquaintance named Damian Anderson who’s just been released from prison. In the preview, he makes it clear he’s coming “for everything,” and believes everything Adonis has is owed to him. While Rocky and Clubber aren’t former acquaintances in Rocky III, the story does find a relatively pampered and lazy Rocky on top of the world facing someone as hungry as he was when he started out.
Michael B. Jordan and Jonathan Majors finally face each other in the ring when Creed III hits theaters March 3, 2023.
