The Marvel Star Who Got In Trouble For Nudity
Chris Pratt is one of the biggest stars in Hollywood. We’ve seen him grow up quite a bit since falling in love with him as the man-child Andy Dwyer on Parks and Recreation, but it’s warming to know that the actor, at least back in the day, had similar qualities to his sitcom character. Pratt admits that in an episode where Andy shows up nude at his ex-girlfriend’s door, the actor made a last-second decision to deliver the scene in the buff, and it got him in trouble with studio execs.
NBC Sent Chris Pratt A Warning
Chris Pratt made this salacious revelation in an appearance on The Graham Norton Show. The Marvel star says that after the indecent exposure, he received a letter from NBC not only reminding him of protocol concerning nude scenes (he was supposed to be wearing boxers) but also warning him that it could never happen again. With it all in the past, the actor quipped that he framed the letter in his office.
Kaboom
The episode in which Chris Pratt put his birthday suit on display came in Parks and Rec Season 2. In “Kaboom,” Andy shows up at the doorstep of his ex-girlfriend Ann (Rashida Jones) in an attempt to win her back. Leslie (Amy Poehler) is visiting Ann at the time and answers the door first.
In his admission, the Jurassic World star says that he decided to take his boxers off after multiple takes. It must have worked, as Chris Pratt confessed, “[Poehler’s] reaction was great!” Likewise, his naked go-at-it ended up being the one that made it into the episode.
Chris Pratt Becomes A Mega Star
We may never know if the rest of the Park and Rec cast and crew enjoyed Chris Pratt’s decision, which, by the way, he says he cleared with the boom operator right beforehand. However, it is clear his actions didn’t affect his time on the series or in Hollywood.
Chris Pratt starred in every season of the NBC sitcom and remained a fan-favorite character throughout the show. Following his success in Parks and Rec, he became a movie star landing lead roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with The Guardians of the Galaxy franchise and the Jurassic World movies.
But to many, Chris Pratt will be best remembered as Andy Dwyer.
A Return To TV
After making a name for himself on the big screen, Chris Pratt recently ventured back into TV acting. The 45-year-old actor starred in The Terminal List, an action thriller series that premiered on Amazon Prime Video in 2022.
The Terminal List Returns Soon
The show wasn’t favored by critics, but a high audience rating was enough for Amazon to renew it for more episodes. Chris Pratt will be back for The Terminal List: Black Wolf, a prequel to the series. As of now, the show is expected to release sometime in 2025.
Let’s just hope the actor doesn’t plan on getting nude for a take in this series, as it might not go over as well this time around.
