Meet Marvel’s Fantastic Four Cast
Marvel has finally revealed the Fantastic Four cast. The actors playing Marvel’s First Family include Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ebon Moss Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing. This is arguably one of the most important casts for an MCU movie going forward, and fans have been waiting patiently to find out who would be playing these major characters.
Along with revealing the Fantastic Four cast, Marvel also announced that the release date for the film has been swapped with Thunderbolts. Thunderbolts will now land in theaters on May 2, 2025 and Fantastic Four will be hitting the big screen on July 25, 2025. These two films will join the MCU’s 2025 slate, which includes Captain America: Brave New World at the beginning of the year and Blade at the end of the year.
Marvel has assembled a fantastic cast (sorry) for Fantastic Four. The cast includes four of Hollywood’s biggest current and rising stars from both film and TV. The Fantastic Four will likely be a huge part of the MCU going forward, so this cast will potentially be taking the torch from retired MCU actors like Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, and Scarlett Johansson.
First in the Fantastic Four cast is Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, which is a casting that has been rumored for a long time now. Pascal quickly became a superstar in recent years with major roles like Mando in The Mandalorian and Joel in HBO’s The Last of Us. The role of Reed Richards was also briefly played by John Krasinski in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, though it was a variant of the character.
Next in the Fantastic Four cast is Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm. Kirby’s breakout role was in the Netflix series The Crown as Princess Margaret. Since then, she has taken on major action roles in films like Hobbs & Shaw and the Mission: Impossible franchise.
Joseph Quinn is a recent breakout star who stole the show as the rocker Eddie Munson in the most recent season of Stranger Things. Ebon Moss-Bachrach has also seen a big boost in popularity in recent years, thanks to his fantastic performance in the FX series The Bear. Joining the Fantastic Four cast will be Quinn and Moss-Bachrach’s biggest blockbuster roles to date, which will surely boost their rising stars even further.
For now, there aren’t many details about Fantastic Four other than the recently announced cast. We also know that Matt Shakman (WandaVision) will be directing the film from a screenplay by Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, and Ian Springer. Notably, Marvel hasn’t announced a villain for the film yet, but fans are hoping that it will be Victor Von Doom, aka Dr. Doom.
Introducing Dr. Doom in Fantastic Four would be a great way to set him up as an Avengers-level threat, especially with the upcoming Secret Wars film. Doom’s introduction would also be a convenient way for the MCU to solve its recent Kang problem. In any case, we’ll find out when Fantastic Four comes to theaters next July.
