Marvel may have confirmed that Matt Murdock’s Daredevil will be appearing in the new Echo series. While the media company has now come out and stated this fact, there is a new Daredevil and Echo team-up comic about to be released on March 24th called, Daredevil & Echo. While the comic releases aren’t any indication that the MCU movies and shows will follow the same format, it would be a safe bet to assume we could see the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen in Echo.

The Hollywood Reporter also indicated back in 2022 that Matt Murdock’s Daredevil and Vincent D’Onofrio would both be appearing in Echo, which would make a ton of sense. The last time we saw Echo she had pulled the trigger to kill Kingpin at the end of the Hawkeye series, though we know that the shot was not fatal. Plus, Kingpin is always a massive superhuman of sorts, and one bullet would certainly not kill him.

In the comics, Echo is convinced that Spider-Man killed her father, with Kingpin pulling the strings and spinning that story. Daredevil did appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and we wonder if Echo might be told the same lie, which would bring Kingpin into the Spider-Man continuity finally. We might be getting a bit ahead of ourselves, but it appears Marvel is combining Echo, Daredevil: Born Again, and the rumored reboot of Jessica Jones.

Speaking of Jessica Jones, there are also rumors that the new Echo series is bringing in Daredevil, who is searching for a new ally. The new ally in question could be either Jessica Jones or The Punisher, both of which we reported would be getting their own shows within the MCU. Though none of this has yet to be confirmed, it would be amazing to see transpire.

Echo

Daredevil and Echo teaming up would also make sense, as Kingpin plays a crucial part in both their stories. D’Onofrio could theoretically appear as the big baddie for the MCU shows, while Kang the Conqueror appears as the big baddie of the movies. The MCU shows and movies are only just starting to crossover, but we would love to see Echo, Daredevil, Kingpin, and Jessica Jones appear in the movies as well.

We are not sure of Daredevil’s involvement in Echo, though the new limited series will be premiering on Disney+ this summer. Matt Murdock could show up to further set up his own series, as Daredevil: Born Again will premiere in the spring of 2024. We are not sure what is going to happen to Echo after her limited series, but she could theoretically end up teaming up with Daredevil for the foreseeable future.

For now, we can all patiently wait to see Echo, which will be released in the next few months or so. The series will follow the ending events of Hawkeye, and will ultimately reveal the fate of Kingpin, though we all know that he has not yet died. How he plans to exploit Echo further is certainly going to be revealed, which can then be undone by Daredevil.
