Loki Season 2 Killing Off A Ton Of The Marvel Franchise
Marvel fans are shocked by the deaths of major characters in Loki Season 2, including Victor Timely, played by Jonathan Majors. That’s the way it appears, at least, in the fourth episode of the new season, which has killed off a number of characters, including major ones. This would hardly be the first time a Marvel Studios series on Disney+ has killed off characters, but this is definitely raising the bar in that department.
Marvel fans are shocked at the apparent death of Jonathan Majors’ Victor Timely in this week’s episode of Loki.
Among those characters to seemingly not escape the fourth episode of Loki Season 2 alive is Miss Minutes, meaning the season’s most formidable antagonists might already be dead. The episode includes many demises, beginning with those of the TVA Minuteman and their leader General Dox, who had been in a holding cell, all fitted with TVA time collars. Because they refused to take the opportunity to join Renslayer in rebuilding the TVA, for which they would be rewarded with new timelines, they were instead destroyed by Renslayer.
The Loki Season 2, episode 4 deaths don’t stop there, though, with Brad killing a TVA agent with a pruning staff. Then comes the parts with most of the major deaths, which could of course be only temporary given that this is Marvel we’re talking about here. OB’s plan includes rebooting the TVA system completely so that magic can be used within its headquarters.

Whether this condition will remain for the rest of Loki Season 2 we don’t know, but it causes Miss Minutes to glitch and apparently die. And then Loki and Sylvie magically compel Brad to prune Renslayer.
Victor Timely—the latest variant of Kang, played by Jonathan Majors—is the next Loki Season 2 character to die, volunteering to try to repair the timeline by installing the Temporal Loom. Once he gets his suit on and goes out the door, the radiation almost immediately destroys him. Again, it is not yet known how permanent any of these character deaths are, and though there are only a couple of episodes left in the season, anything can happen.
Episodes of Loki Season 2 premiere every Thursday on Disney+ and feature Tom Hiddleston reprising his role as the god of mischief, joining Mobius, played by Owen Wilson, and attempting to maintain their timelines. The pair also appeared in the post-credits sequence for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, following one of the many variants of Kang. Since Loki’s variant Sylvie killed He Who Remains in the first season and released Kang the Conqueror into the Multiverse, Loki is hard at work trying to keep all of reality from collapsing around him.
Victor Timely—the latest variant of Kang, played by Jonathan Majors—is the next Loki Season 2 character to die…
Loki season 2 is unlikely to be the end of the character’s story, not only because no character’s story seems to end in the Marvel Universe, but also because Loki has been a fan-favorite character since his introduction in Thor. Tom Hiddleston, who had been rumored to be in the mix as the next James Bond, is also a major star of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with his own Army of devoted fans known as Middlestoners. As long as these seasons keep surprising and delighting viewers, we can likely expect to see more of them once the actors’ strike comes to an end.
