Keanu Reeves Will Face The Most Dangerous Villain In John Wick 4
Bill Skarsgard has revealed his villain in John Wick 4 will rid the world of Keanu Reeves's Wick.
Keanu Reeves has taken on many villains in the first three movies set in the John Wick universe, but now he is set to face his biggest challenge in John Wick 4. The challenge comes from the most dangerous villain he will face, The Marquis, who is portrayed by Bill Skarsgard. According to Skarsgard, “The Marquis is a young man of unknown origin who has quickly climbed the ladder within the High Table doing god knows what.”
From the trailers alone, Keanu Reeves’s Wick seems up to the challenge of taking on the High Table, but not much is known about The Marquis so far. Apparently, The Marquis is also someone who came from nothing and relishes in the success that he currently has. “I always saw him as someone from the gutter that now savors the glittery suits he’s wearing, as he functions as the new sheriff set out to rid the world of John Wick once and for all,” Skarsgard added.
The last time we saw Keanu Reeves and John Wick, Wick was running for his life after shooting Santino D’Antonio in the head on the grounds of The Continental in the closing events of John Wick: Chapter 2. Wick travels to the desert in John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum to speak to the head of the High Table, who makes Wick cut off his wedding finger to pledge loyalty to the organization. However, when Wick returns to The Continental New York, he is betrayed by Winston.
We are not sure what is going to happen in John Wick: Chapter 4, but Keanu Reeves has been shown getting involved in plenty of fights in the trailer. We are most excited to see John Wick take on Donnie Yen’s Caine. Though not much is known about this character, Yen is a highly respected martial artist and action movie star, so we imagine the fight between their characters is going to be quite epic.
While John Wick is on the run still, it appears he must battle his way back to the top of the High Table, which leads to a single battle with The Marquis. Keanu Reeves and Bills Skarsgard also look as though they are going to be battling one another to further their goals. From Skarsgard’s description of his character, we would imagine that The Marquis is trying to kill John Wick to get a better spot at the High Table, and Wick is just trying to be free again.
There are certainly so many questions that need to be answered, and we will all get to see what happens next and Keanu Reeves back in his best role when John Wick: Chapter 4 premieres in theaters in March. While Lance Reddick, Lawrence Fishburne, and Ian McShane are all returning, the new movie is bringing in great actors like Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgard, and Hiroyuki Sanada.
Keanu Reeves will return as John Wick in John Wick: Chapter 4, when the movie releases on March 24, 2023. There is also the John Wick spinoff to look forward to, Ballerina, which stars Ana de Armas in the lead role. Reeves has already stated that he will be involved in this new spinoff movie.
