Kathryn Winnick has been on a lot of Marvel fans’ radar for a long time now, and a recent rumor says that she might finally be making her way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

According to the scoop, Kathryn Winnick is being considered for a number of potential Marvel Cinematic Universe roles. The most prominent of these potential parts would either be Enchantress – no, not the one from Suicide Squad – or Angela, the long lost sister of Thor.

Either role would be a big step in Kathryn Winnick’s career. She has become one of the best parts of the television series Vikings and it looks like she wants to launch herself into the blockbuster arena with a potential role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She is already working on the Disney television series Big Sky, so it would make sense that Marvel Studios would come knocking while she was shooting another Disney project.

It is worth noting that the character of Enchantress is scheduled to appear on the Loki Disney+ series played by Cailey Fleming. This rumor suggests that Kathryn Winnick would be playing the adult version of the character. Does this mean Enchantress could be showing up in either Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 or Thor: Love and Thunder? She is the kind of character that could make sense for either feature.

Angela Marvel

The same would go for the character of Angela. She originally appeared in the Image Comics series Spawn but was killed off and revived in the Marvel Comics canon. This would track with the role Kathryn Winnick played in Vikings. She has proven that she can portray a vicious and strong female warrior. IT would be awesome to see her enact that same kind of character in a big-screen Marvel Cinematic Universe movie.

Kathryn Winnick may also not be considered for either of these roles. It is possible that she could be in the running for an unnamed role that Marvel Studios wants to keep close to their chest. the studio has been great at surprising fans with some incredible reveals. Remember when Thanos showed up for the very first time at the end of The Avengers? No one saw that coming and it ended up shaping the future of the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Regardless of whatever role Kathryn Winnick might get in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we just hope she lands one that showcases her talents. Winnick was actually one of the internet’s top choices for the role of Carol Danvers a.k.a. Captain Marvel before the role went to Brie Larson. It certainly sounds like she would be a welcome addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Hopefully, this rumor turns out to be true and we will get an official confirmation from Marvel Studios that Kathryn Winnick will be joining the many illustrious actors that have brought their skills to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. If we happen to learn of any official announcement regarding her casting and what role she will play, we will immediately update you.
