Jon Favreau Says Mandalorian Season 3 Will Be Like Christmas
Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni created something quite phenomenal in The Mandalorian, which has captivated Star Wars fans around the world. During the CCXP event in Brazil, Favreau spoke about what we can expect for The Mandalorian Season 3. According to Favreau, “Hopefully each week will be like opening a Christmas present, with new surprises.”
The surprises that Jon Favreau is alluding to have everything to do with the huge surprises that The Mandalorian has already brought in its first two seasons, which they also hope to replicate in The Mandalorian Season 3. The first the creator mentioned was Grogu aka Baby Yoda, as the world had not found out about the being until he officially debuted on the show, which led the world to completely fall in love with him. The second big bombshell happened in season two when Mark Hamill returned as a young Luke Skywalker, who took Grogu away to attempt to train him in the ways of the force.
The Mandalorian Season 3 has already dropped a big secret yesterday, which is the new season of everyone’s favorite bounty hunter-led series is going to be making its huge return on March 1st on Disney+. We are not entirely sure about who might be showing up in the third season, but we hope to see some huge reveals like the first two seasons held, especially if it means more legacy characters might show up at some point. Considering this era is right after the events of Return of the Jedi, we would love to see Han Solo come back for one moment.
The Mandalorian Season 3 will effectively bring back Din Djarin aka Mando along with his trusty sidekick, Grogu. Bo-Katan Kryze will be a crucial part of the series as well, considering she is still trying to reunite Mandalore, and secure the Darksaber to lead the Mandalorians back to their glory days. Though it has not yet been confirmed, we have also reported that Giancarlo Esposito’s Moff Gideon will be a key figure, and is rumored to have a new set of Mandalorian-made armor himself.
There are sure to be plenty of surprises in The Mandalorian Season 3, and Jon Favreau’s words about it being like “Christmas” should excite any fan of the series. As previously mentioned, Favreau and Filoni have built something quite fantastic, and they are surely bringing together fans new and old with their storytelling within the Star Wars universe. We would assume that considering the fight for Mandalore is one of the key components of the trailer, we are going to see a lot more Mandalorians this time around.
The Mandalorian Season 3 officially debuts on March 1st, and Disney+ is adding even more Star Wars content past that, as the Ahsoka series is set to follow. Rosaria Dawson already made her huge debut in The Mandalorian Season 2, but now we are going to learn far more about everyone’s favorite lightsaber wielding Togruta. We are not sure if Ahsoka will be appearing again in The Mandalorian, but it could happen, adding even more Christmas cheer for everyone watching.
