Joaquin Phoenix Being Replaced In Joker 2 Behind The Scenes Photos?
Recent behind-the-scenes pictures of Joker 2 show another actor playing the Joker alongside Joaquin Phoenix.
Joker: Folie à Deux, set to be released by DC Studios in October 2024, has just begun filming. Fans recently got a sneak peek of the Joker himself with the You Were Never Really Here actor Joaquin Phoenix reprising the role for the upcoming Joker 2. However, when Films to Films took to Twitter to share photos from filming, a second Joker made some people worried Joaquin Phoenix could be replaced.
In the photos, fans could see Joaquin Phoenix on the set of Joker 2 donning Arthur Fleck’s signature rumpled look. The actor took to the streets of downtown Los Angeles with a curly hairdo, untucked shirt, and smeared clown makeup. The images showed the actor sprinting down the street.
Beside him was a much more polished-looking Joker character. Complete with a bright red suit, wavy green hair, and immaculately done clown make-up, Joaquin Phoenix’s character looks even more dusty and rumpled by comparison. These two Jokers have many questioning what could be going on in the scene.
Many believe the beloved clown got himself in a bit of trouble while others speculate Joaquin Phoenix’s character could be getting replaced. Filming for the upcoming installment started last December and is set to wrap up this April. Just last weekend, crews took to downtown LA for filming.
While the release of Joker: Folie à Deux is still over a year away, seeing everyone’s favorite disgraced clown got fans excited for the prospect of seeing Joaquin Phoenix on the big screen again, with many taking to the thread to share their anticipation for the film.
If the photo’s response on Twitter is any indication, Joaquin Phoenix and Joker 2 are likely to be a huge success.
