Jeremy Renner Making First Public Appearance Since His Accident, Here’s Where You’ll See Him
Jeremy Renner's first post-accident public appearance will be at the world premiere of his Disney+ vehicle renovation series, Rennervations.
After making what has been considered to be a miraculous recovery following a life-threatening accident involving a snowplow, MCU star Jeremy Renner is ready to step back into the spotlight. According to Variety, the actor will be in attendance at Los Angeles’ Regency Village Theater on April 11 for the world premiere of his Disney+ vehicle renovation series, Rennervations. The appearance will mark a milestone for the actor as he’s finally able to get back to his everyday life following the devastating accident.
For those who may need a refresher, the new year got off to a terrible start for Jeremy Renner when, on January 1st, the Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters star found himself in critical condition following a traumatic encounter with a Sno-Cat. Renner was using the 14,000+ pound piece of equipment to help his nephew rid himself of the record-breaking snowfall outside his Lake Tahoe home when he lost control, causing the machine to run him over. Rushed to the hospital, it was unclear if Renner would pull through from his unbelievable amount of injuries that included blunt chest trauma.
Since the incident, Jeremy Renner has never given up on his healing, with his family, friends, and fans cheering him on every step of the way. Despite suffering the pain of breaking over 30 bones, the Wind River actor always pushed forward and kept his followers informed every step of the way. Between his mental and emotional health and his physical well-being, Renner has stayed on top of ensuring that he’s received the best care possible.
As for Rennervations, the Disney+ series will follow the Marvel star as he gives back to the community by reforming old hunk-of-junk vehicles into useful automobiles. Joining a crack team of experts, Jeremy Renner will hook up with the best of the best when it comes to vehicle restoration and make some engines purr. In a statement the actor released alongside the announcement that he would be in attendance for the show’s premiere, he said that the project was “a driving force in my recovery” and that he was excited to share his latest project with the world.
Rennervations is, of course, not Jeremy Renner’s first time pairing up with Disney+ to bring audiences something special. While the vehicle-centered production will be a reality series, the actor drove up the streamer’s numbers just over one year ago with the arrival of his MCU spinoff, Hawkeye. While his character has appeared in a multitude of the comic book-turned-film franchise’s movies over the last decade, his arrow-shooting hero has never received a feature-length telling of his own like his fellow Avengers, Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Captain America (Chris Evans).
In the series, Jeremy Renner stars as Hawkeye aka Clint Barton in a storyline that picks up after the events of the blockbuster Avengers: Endgame. Taking audiences to New York City for the holiday season, the series focuses on Barton’s attempt to enjoy Christmas with his family but instead is sucked into a murder mystery alongside a new archer named Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld). The series was a hit among fans happy to see a fuller story surrounding Hawkeye, leading it to receive a spin-off production titled Echo, which is set to arrive later in 2023.
