Jensen Ackles is now in a whole new game and we’d venture a guess that this won’t be the last time he’ll see a disturbed camera operator during a lunch break while working on The Boys.

Fans can always count on Jensen Ackles to give us the dirt. While starring as Dean Winchester on the CW series, Supernatural, the actor wasn’t one to keep followers in the lurch about some of the silliest and most challenging days on set. And now, he’s at it again. Preparing to make his debut as Soldier Boy in the upcoming third season of Amazon Prime Video’s, The Boys, the actor gave fans a taste of what’s to come in one of the season’s most highly anticipated episodes.

The episode in question? That would be one based on the original comic book’s Herogasm spin-off. We know what you’re thinking and we agree that it does sound equal parts weird and intriguing. Basically, Herogasm occurred when The Seven along with a handful of other Vought superheroes took a little vacation to a remote island in order to … uh … Well let’s just say, things get a little freaky deaky, as the name would suggest. And this brings us to Jensen Ackles’ comments while attending The Boys’ SXSW panel.

During the sit down, fans were treated to a traumatizing story surrounding a poor camera operator on the day of filming the hot and heavy episode. While he dances around whether or not he was a part of the scene, Jensen Ackles confirms that he was on set that day. Upon seeing the camera operator trying to enjoy some lunch, Ackles approached them and said, “Hey man, what’s going on? How’s it going in there?” In response, the operator, who Ackles described as having a “really troubled look on his face,” said, “Man, I’ve seen some shit today!” Yikes. We sure hope everyone involved was getting paid overtime that day!

Along with the highly anticipated Herogasm episode, fans have been long looking forward to the return of The Boys. Premiering in 2019, the critically acclaimed and fan favorite series tells the story of a group of corrupt superheros, or supes, and a misfit gang of vigilantes stopping at nothing to bring the supes down. Following a recently released high action trailer, fans have been getting even more excited to find out just what will happen to their favorite characters. Along with Jensen Ackles, Season 3 will bring in new-to-the-series actors including Katia Winter, Miles Gaston Villanueva, Sean Patrick Flanery, Nick Wechsler, Laurie Holden, Frances Turner, Kristin Booth, and Jack Doolan. Fans can also count on a returning lineup of talent including Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie, and Claudia Doumit.

His role as Soldier Boy will show fans a side of Jensen Ackles that many haven’t seen before. Known as the protective older brother, Dean Winchester, on Supernatural, Soldier Boy is anything but. Brimming with patriotic pride, Ackles’ new character will never question orders and always does what he sees as right for his country. As with many other characters in the comic book universe created by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, Soldier Boy was molded in satire. In his particular situation, the country-loving superhero was based on Marvel’s Captain America. While we never heard any stories like this one from the backstages of Supernatural, Ackles is now in a whole new game and we’d venture a guess that this won’t be the last time he’ll see a disturbed camera operator during a lunch break while working on The Boys.
