Singer, actress, and dancer Jennifer Lopez has pulled out of all her social media accounts. According to Deadline, Lopez’s Instagram is void of posts, while Twitter, Facebook, and TikTok contain remnants of older posts. Sources close to the actress, who has recently starred in Hustlers and Marry Me, anticipate the announcement of a new project.

This has been seen before, as people in the public eye delete their Instagram history to rebrand for an upcoming project. And it works as the celebrity receives a massive amount of publicity, while everyone tries to figure out what is going on. And Jennifer Lopez’s fans are always excited to see what new projects she has in the works.

In June 2021, Jennifer Lopez’s Nuyorican Productions, which she runs with Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, signed a first-look deal with Netflix.  This deal focuses on diverse female actors, writers, and filmmakers in films, series, and unscripted content. Likely the new announcement will have something to do with the Netflix deal.

Jennifer Lopez has made headlines for her ever-so-sexy role in Hustlers. She plays a veteran stripper who befriends a young girl new to the world of stripping, and teaches her the art of dancing and scheming the customers.

The film is based on the true account from New York Magazine of a group of ladies who turn on their Wall Street clients. This title is available to stream on Netflix and Hulu.

Next, Jennifer Lopez can be seen in several already announced upcoming projects, including The Godmother, Atlas, The Mother, and Shotgun Gunwedding with Josh Duhamel and Jennifer Coolidge.

She will also star in an episode of Behind the Music, Paramount’s reboot of the VH1 docuseries that ran from 1997-2014, that features people in the music industry and chronicles their stories. This series features the good, the bad, and the ugly in the lives of music superstars. Lopez starred in an episode of the original series in 2010, but her life has changed drastically since that time, and you can view the new episode on Paramount+ on November 29, 2022.

With all of the previously announced projects, fans are excited to see what’s to come for the ever-popular Jennifer Lopez. It is very likely that her new announcement will involve something new in her Netflix deal. The streamer is known for producing projects efficiently and celebrating their announcements with much fanfare.

She currently has two Netflix projects in the works, The Mother, which will see Jennifer Lopez as an assassin who comes out of hiding to protect the daughter she gave up. This is expected to release in 2023. The second project, The Cipher, is based on a novel by Isabella Maldonado, but little information has been released about production for this project.

Jennifer Lopez began her career in 1991 as a Fly Girl on the sketch comedy series In Living Color. Her first lead role was that of Tejano music star Selena Quintanilla Pérez in the film Selena. Since that time, she has propelled herself into a multi-hyphenate personality with a massive fan base.

Keep watching for more news about Jennifer Lopez leaving social media and if there is, in fact, some significant announcement coming soon.
