See Jeffrey Dean Morgan As The Boys Version Of Iron Man
New fan art portrays Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Tek Knight.
Fans have been waiting on pins and needles to learn who Jeffrey Dean Morgan might be playing in the upcoming season of The Boys. For now, most people are guessing that he’ll be playing the Batman/Iron Man-analogue Tek Knight. Hopefully, those guesses are right because this fan art posted to Twitter certainly makes a compelling case:
Just like Batman and Iron Man in their respective comic book universes, Tek Knight is a Supe without any actual superpowers (or Compound V coursing through his veins). Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s version of the character in The Boys would likely follow this same idea, with the character relying on technology to put him on even footing with the other “heroes” of the world. Of course, Tek Knight also parodies the playboy aspect of Bruce Wayne and Tony Stark by making him a sex addict.
Karl Urban did recently take to Instagram to post a picture with Jefferey Dean Morgan and announce that filming was wrapped for Season 4 of The Boys. Of course, Morgan’s character was just in a suit and tie, so there was still no way to tell for sure who he’d be playing. But the theories about him playing Tek Knight are just getting stronger.
Not only would Jeffrey Dean Morgan be the perfect fit for the role, but it would also make sense to introduce Tek Knight at this point in the story. We just saw Karl Urban’s Billy Butcher and Jack Quaid’s Hughie Campbell team up with Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy to take out Homelander in the previous season of The Boys. Tek Knight also happens to be a founding member of Soldier Boy’s Payback team, so maybe we could see Butcher teaming up with another Payback member.
We also saw Jensen Ackles‘ Soldier Boy put on ice in the previous season, so fans are counting on him being brought back into the fold at some point. It’s possible that Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s Tek Knight could help the Boys get Soldier Boy back in play to take Homelander down for good. In any case, they’re going to need all the help they can get after Homelander was actively cheered by citizens after committing murder in public.
There’s no word yet on when we can see Jeffrey Dean Morgan and the rest of the cast in The Boys Season 4. However, we do know that Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit, and Cameron Crovetti are also set to reprise their roles. New Supes Firecracker (Valorie Curry) and Sister Sage (Susan Heyward) will also be joining the growing cast.
Along with the additions of Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Curry, and Heyward, we’ll also be seeing Rosemarie DeWitt join The Boys as Hughie’s mom. Elliott Knight and Morgan’s Supernatural co-star Rob Benedict will also be joining the cast in undisclosed roles. Hopefully, we’ll learn more about their roles soon as we wait for a release date for the fourth season of the popular Amazon series.
