See Jared Leto Transformed Into A Bald, Old Man For His New Movie

Ridley Scott‘s (Blade Runner) latest movie, House of Gucci, has a stacked cast. On Twitter today, the official account for the upcoming film released character posters of some of its stars. Lady Gaga (A Star Is Born), Adam Driver (Star Wars), and an unrecognizable bald Jared Leto (Dallas Buyers Club) were all featured on the thread of tweets.
Based on the book The House Of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed by Sara Gay Forden, the film will span decades as it tells the story of Patrizia Reggiani (Gaga), the ex-wife of Maurizio Gucci (Driver). Reggiani plotted to murder her husband, resulting in all sorts of chaos that the movie will explore. She was sentenced to 26 years after being convicted of hiring a hitman for the assassination. Jared Leto is playing Paolo Gucci with Al Pacino (The Godfather) as Aldo Gucci.
Behind the makeup and prosthetics that transform Jared Leto is Jana Carboni. She has worked on films like Ridley Scott’s Prometheus, The Martian, 6 Underground, and most recently, the Paramount+ original movie Infinite. Other people in the department include Frederic Aspiras as a hairstylist for Gaga, Loredana Caldarola as an additional artist, Elenia Contu, and Coralie Gaspard as crowd make-up artists. Aurora Gambelli as a hairstylist, Daniel Lawson Johnston who does Driver’s makeup, Lidia Mini as a makeup artist, Stefania Pellegrini as the key makeup artist, Alessandra Pierucci as a crowd makeup trainee, Maria Solberg Lepre as the principal makeup artist, and Sarah Tanno who does Gaga’s makeup.
It is far from the first time and will not be the last seeing Jared Leto morph into someone different in a role. He was unrecognizable for his Oscar-winning performance in Dallas Buyers Club as a transgender woman named Rayon and again as Joker in both Suicide Squad and Zack Snyder’s Justice League.
In the crime drama with stars like Jared Leto, it will be directed by Scott and written by Roberto Bentivegna as his feature-length debut. The director will act as a producer with Giannina Facio, Mark Huffam, and Kevin J. Walsh. Aidan Elliott, Aaron L. Gilbert, and Marco Valerio Pugini will act as the executive producers.
House of Gucci is the long list of projects coming or have recently been released for the leading stars. Jared Leto was in the new cut of Justice League and The Little Things. Salma Hayek will have a huge month in November between this and the upcoming Marvel movie Eternals from the Oscar-winning director Chloe Zhao. Driver teamed up with Scott for The Last Duel, which is set to release before this latest project on October 15.
The latest film by Scott seems like it already has quite the cast with Jared Leto, Gaga, Driver, Hayek, and Pacino, but it goes beyond that. It also stars Jack Huston (Fargo), and Jeremy Irons (Watchmen).
