Jane Fonda poured her heart out about her cancer diagnosis in her post and spoke about how she feels lucky to be dealing with a type that some 80% of people recover from. However, she is 85 years old, so that can be a hurdle to get over. Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma is a type of cancer that affects the lymphatic system. This disease can cause tumors to grow all over the body. However, there is hope as the diagnosis and treatment for this type of cancer have allowed many people to survive. The actress is surely keeping her spirits high and has addressed all her fans via this Instagram post. For someone who has been diagnosed with cancer and at her age, she looks fantastic. We truly hope that she can beat this diagnosis and join that 80% recovery rate.
As previously mentioned, Jane Fonda was most recently in the hit series, Grace and Frankie. The series began in 2015 and lasted seven seasons. The seventh final season released the last episodes in April of this year. Fonda and her Grace and Frankie co-star, Lily Tomlin, are reuniting later this year for a film called Moving On, which will premiere on September 13th. Fonda then follows that up with a sequel film in Book Club 2: The Next Chapter, which sees her reunite with Mary Steenburgen, Candice Bergen, and Diane Keaton. Thankfully, most of her upcoming films are in the post-production stages, so that will give the actress time to rest while she goes through the treatment she needs.
Jane Fonda remains an activist, and she has also included climate change worries in her post. Even while she is sick with cancer, the woman is trying to speak about the betterment of society and the importance of community. We commend her for that, and plenty of celebrities have come out in support of her attempting to remain selfless while dealing with her diagnosis.
While the road might be long for Jane Fonda, she is clearly making the most of the situation. We truly hope that she is cured soon and can return to her family healthy and happy. Having cancer is never good for anyone involved, including families that must watch their loved ones go through such a thing. We hope that she is getting the necessary treatment needed to live a much longer life. Heal well, Jane Fonda.
