Sci-Fi Fantasy Series With 100% Rotten Tomatoes Score Being Purposefully Kept From Fans

Fans of television and film are likely already frustrated with the state of the Hollywood industry, as studios like Warner Brothers have continued to dump perfectly good projects as tax write-offs rather than offering them up to the viewing public. The single most egregious example of this trend, in my opinion, is the obfuscation of the hit animated series Infinity Train, which touts an incredible 100 percent certified fresh critic score on Rotten Tomatoes. Despite the critically acclaimed series being universally beloved, Warner Brothers execs have bizarrely chosen to scrub the series from streaming on Max, making it impossible to find without relying on internet piracy.

The Death Of Infinity Train

Infinity Train was first stripped of its streaming privileges back in October of 2023, much to the chagrin of fans everywhere, and even the show’s own creator, Owen Dennis.

Dennis, who previously served as a writer for the Cartoon Network animated venture Regular Show, took to X shortly after the series was removed from the streaming library, and encouraged his fans to pirate the series, simply because he couldn’t stand the idea of his hard work and artistic vision going to waste.

Dennis has since moved on to develop an upcoming Among Us animated series, which should give him an opportunity to flex his superior sci-fi writing skills.

The Concept Behind Infinity Train

For those who haven’t heard of Infinity Train, the series is a science fiction anthology, which sees different characters each season loading onto a train with an infinite number of cars, which forces them to face their personal demons and learn how to work through traumatic experiences.

The first season especially presents this concept in a vague and mysterious way, offering a unique viewing experience that will make you want to binge the entire show in one sitting.

Unlike other ‘mystery box’ shows such as Lost, Infinity Train offers tons of fascinating secrets and mysteries, before answering all of them in an incredibly satisfying and enjoyable manner.

The Voice Talent

Most of the show’s talent rotates out with each change of the season, as new characters are introduced to the mysterious world of the eponymous train.

Over the course of 4 seasons, Infinity Train has collected the voice talent of such performers as Jeremy Crutchley, Johnny Young, Ernie Hudson, Ben Mendelsohn, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, The Last Of Us‘ Ashley Johnson, and even series creator Owen Dennis himself.

The characters include a dual-minded robot whose personality is split between a joyful side and a depressed side, a mischievous talking cat, a majestic corgi named Atticus, and many others.

YouTube

Infinity Train ultimately ran from 2019 through 2021 before getting the boot from Warner Brothers, with each season offering its own fascinating story arcs and developments.

Bafflingly, a small handful of episodes are available to purchase for 99 cents each on YouTube, though viewing random episodes of this highly serialized show out of order would not be an enjoyable way to experience the gripping narrative.

GFR SCORE

Personally, I find Infinity Train to be one of the most well written, interesting, and engrossing narratives in all of fiction, and I consider it a genuine crime that the series is not available to stream or purchase in full. To paraphrase another classic cartoon, Warner Brothers, shut up and take my money! While I can’t personally advocate for internet piracy of any kind, I would personally advise you to take any opportunity you can to watch Infinity Train from beginning to end, if one ever does arise.
