See Hugh Jackman’s Unbelievably Ripped Muscles Training For Wolverine Comeback
Hugh Jackman is coming back as Wolverine for Deadpool 3 and he looks just as jacked, ripped, and buff as he did when he first popped the mutant's claws.
It’s been confirmed that Hugh Jackman is coming back in Deadpool 3 as Wolverine. The 54-year old Australian actor is eight years older than Ryan Reynolds, but in a recent tweet, he insists it’s not a competition. That’s easy to say when his forearm appears to be the same size as Reynold’s head.
In a candid shot alongside his trainer, Hugh Jackman is shown lifting a weight with veins bulging from his bicep. For each of his outings as the Canadian mutant, Jackman has sported massive muscles with clearly visible veins threatening to burst out from his skin at any moment. The Greatest Showman actor’s superhuman physique has always made him appear to be a real-life comic book character.
It’s been 23 years since the first time Hugh Jackman brought Wolverine to life on the big screen. Since then, Father Time has seemingly been too scared to bother the jacked star. While Ryan Reynolds is also a physically fit man, few people can go muscle for muscle with Jackman.
Deadpool 3 will be the first on-screen meeting of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman since the horrible X-Men Origins: Wolverine. In the 2009 film, Jackman’s first solo outing away from the X-Men, Reynolds also played Wade Wilson but it was so far from comics accurate that the fan outrage led directly to Fox greenlighting his own film. The best thing to come from one of the worst movies of all time is the friendship between the two stars.
Constantly needling each other on Twitter, Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds “feud” has been a constant source of amusement for everyone involved. In 2016 when Reynolds was being honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Jackman posted a video telling fans to urinate on it. The Free Guy star fired back in Deadpool 2 by featuring a miniature statue of Wolverine at the end of Logan.
In 2019 the feud reached a new level when each made commercials for the other’s products, Reynolds for Laughing Man Coffee and Hugh Jackman for Aviator Gin. The tongue-in-cheek ads were the perfect promotional tools for each other’s side business. The whole time, fans have begging to see the two team up (or kill each other) again as Wolverine and Deadpool.
Because nerds now live in the best time to be alive, we’re finally getting a buff and tough Hugh Jackman to pop his claws into Ryan Reynold’s annoying Merc With A Mouth. The two aren’t going to be alone in the third Deadpool film, as our trusted sources again came through with a major scoop, and Patrick Stewart is reprising his role as Professor X.
Last seen in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, Patrick Stewart has been playing the leader of the X-Men since 2000. Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart were last on-screen together in Logan, when Charles Xavier was killed by a Wolverine clone. Through the magic of jumping through timelines and the newly established multiverse, both of the characters are somehow still alive in the upcoming Deadpool film.
Deadpool 3 is set to be released on November 8th, 2024, giving us plenty of time for Ryan Reynolds to make a response to Hugh Jackman’s clear challenge.
