Hottest Women in Fantasy Movies and TV
If you are looking for the ultimate in escapism, fantasy movies or television series are a great way to go. Especially if said film/series contains one of the hottest fantasy films or TV women in Hollywood. There are plenty of examples to choose from and we have done just that.
Of course, when speaking about beautiful women, in this case, the hottest women in a fantasy film or on television, we understand that attractiveness is subjective. Our list below may not appeal to all. Give it a once (or twice) over and let us know where we disagree. We are sure, though, that many on our list will make yours.
10. Katie McGrath as Morgana Pendragon in Merlin
When Katie McGrath began her career, it wasn’t in acting. In fact, she never intended to become an actress, but rather a fashion journalist. She was a wardrobe assistant on The Tudors when someone suggested she try acting. She did and it led her to the role of Morgana Pendragon in Merlin. The rest, as they say, is history.
As one of the hottest women in fantasy movies and TV, McGrath backed up her beauty with talent. She played Morgana for five seasons, turning this role into an impressive career.
9. Astrid Bergès-Frisbey as the Mage in King Arthur: Legend of the Sword
Keeping with the King Arthur and the Knights of the Roundtable theme we have another one of the hottest women in fantasy film or TV with Astrid Bergès-Frisbey. In King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, Bergès-Frisbey plays the Mage, a woman who works for Merlin in support of Charlie Hunnam’s King Arthur.
Astrid Bergès-Frisbey began her acting career in 2007 and by 2010 she was also modeling. In 2011, she made her English-language feature film debut playing Syrena, a mermaid in Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
8. Cate Blanchett as Galadriel in The Lord of the Rings trilogy
Cate Blanchett has always been considered to be one of the lookers in Hollywood, a point she made well known when she took on the role of Galadriel in Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy. As one of the best performers of her generation, it is Blanchett’s versatility in the roles she has chosen that had critics calling her “undeniably sexy.” It is easy to see why she has landed on our hottest women in fantasy movies or TV list.
7. Carice van Houten as Melisandre in Game of Thrones
Game of Thrones has given fantasy film or TV admirers much to wag their tongues over. You can count Carice van Houten as one who helped the cause. As the red witch Melisandre, van Houten appeared, like many of the women in the series, in various stages of undress. But even with her clothes on, van Houten is definitely one of the hottest women in the series.
6. Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie in Thor: Ragnarok
The first time we saw Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie was in the 2017 feature film, Thor: Ragnarok, and instantly Thompson became one of the hottest women in fantasy filmdom. As the lone Valkyrior survivor after Hela wiped them all out, she takes sides with Thor and Hulk for some payback.
Thompson would reprise her role as Valkyrie twice more in Avengers: Infinity War and Thor: Love and Thunder. There is also a strong rumor being floated that Thompson’s Valkyrie will be making an appearance in the upcoming MCU film, The Marvels.
5. Angelina Jolie as Maleficent in Maleficent
From the moment she appeared on film, Angelina Jolie has turned heads. Smokey good looks, Jolie has caught the eye of many in each film she has acted in. You can even count her turn as the wicked Maleficent in Disney’s 2014 film and its eventual 2019 sequel, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil as two that solidified her standing as one of the hottest women in fantasy films.
4. Liv Tyler as Arwen Undómiel in The Lord of the Rings trilogy
Liv Tyler was already a well-known, albeit young, Hollywood entity when she was cast in Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy. The secret had already been revealed that she was Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler’s daughter. She had been making movies for nearly a decade before she landed the part of Arwen Undómiel, a role that would get steadily larger as the trilogy progressed. It is hard to deny that Tyler then became one of the hottest women in fantasy films and TV.
3. Evangeline Lilly as Tauriel in The Hobbit trilogy
Evangeline Lilly might best be known for her role as Kate Austen on the hit TV series, Lost, but she became one of the hottest women in fantasy movies when she took on the role as the Mirkwood elf named Tauriel in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit trilogy.
Although she did not appear in the first film, Lilly caught the attention of fantasy lovers when Tauriel arrived for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and then The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.
2. Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones
When Emilia Clarke took on the role of Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones, it was only her third professional gig. So forgive her for all her nudity. She did claim that as time went on during Game of Thrones, she became “a lot more savvy” on just how much nudity should be required for her scenes and made her point well-known to her producers.
Regardless of what level of clothing Clarke has/has on, she quickly established herself as one of the top hottest women in fantasy films or TV.
1. Charlize Theron as Queen Ravenna in Snow White and the Huntsman
Charlize Theron is simply a natural beauty. She could be playing the horrifically grotesque serial killer Aileen Wuornos in the 2003 film, Monster, (for which she won a well-deserved Academy Award) and still her beauty shines through. So, when she took on the role of Queen Ravenna in Disney’s Snow White and the Huntsman, it was easy to pop her to the top of the hottest women in fantasy movies or TV list. Tell us we’re wrong.
