The Stargate franchise began nearly 30 years ago with the blockbuster Roland Emmerich film. Since that time, it has expanded to three TV series – Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, and Stargate Universe – along with a web series, Stargate Origins. With each iteration of the franchise, there has been one constant and that being the gorgeous women of the cast.

With as many series in the franchise, there have been plenty of hot ladies that have made their mark. Some have been part of the permanent cast, while others have enjoyed only a brief stay. We have found 7 of these beauties.

7. Torri Higginson

Torri Higginson was not the first gorgeous Dr. Elizabeth Weir, but she was the last. Elizabeth Weir was actually introduced in SG-1 and for two episodes was played by another hot actress, Jessica Steen. Unfortunately, Steen didn’t pan out and wasn’t brought back. Instead, Higginson replaced her as the lead for Stargate Atlantis, a role she held for four seasons.

6. Jewel Staite

Another beautiful actress from Stargate Atlantis, Jewel Staite played Dr. Jennifer Keller in the series. Prior to Atlantis, Staite had gotten her science fiction feet wet by appearing in Joss Whedon’s series, Firefly, and its feature film, Serenity. Staite’s first two seasons on Atlantis were as a recurring character before she was brought on as a regular cast member for the final two seasons.

5. Alaina Huffman

As Tamara Johansen, Alaina Huffman certainly turned heads. On Universe, she is a young, tough medic who finds herself as the person with the most medical experience on board the Destiny after the base doctor gets killed in the pilot episode. While she is confident in her abilities, Johansen is also holding onto a secret past she has with another member of the Destiny crew.

4. Teryl Rothery

Teryl Rothery played Dr. Janet Fraiser on SG-1 for the first 7 seasons of the series. She was the Chief Medical Officer and was oftentimes put in the middle of life-threatening health issues of both the SG team and aliens. Although she was a key member of the team, Fraiser lost her life in an explosion while conducting an off-world medical emergency.

3. Lexa Doig

Lexa Doig only got 11 episodes on Stargate SG-1, but they were memorable. She played Dr. Carolyn Lam for almost the entire season 9 before returning for the final two episodes in season 10. Dr. Lam actually took the place of Dr. Janet Fraiser after Fraiser lost her life at the end of season 7.

2. Morena Baccarin

Morena Baccarin is probably best known for playing Leslie Tompkins in the series Gotham or even Vanessa in Deadpool, but she also made an impression during her 5-episode run on Stargate SG-1. As Adria, Baccarin was the antagonist in season 10, causing chaos wherever she went. Like Jewel Staite, Baccarin was also part of the cast for Joss Whedon’s Firefly.

1. Amanda Tapping

Amanda Tapping is number one on just about every Stargate list. Not only did the beautiful Tapping last the entire duration of SG-1, but she also made time (25 episodes worth) on Stargate Atlantis as well as a 2-episode appearance on Stargate Universe. Tapping’s Samantha Carter did well by being the female face of the franchise.
