You may know Henry Cavill as Superman or Geralt of Rivia, but have you ever wondered what he would look like if he joined the X-Men in the MCU? Instagram user spdrmnkyxxiii has you covered, as they’ve created the perfect mockup of Cavill as Hank McCoy aka Beast. The above picture certainly sells Cavill as a normal scientist, but the transforming feet are what give it that Beast-like touch. It definitely makes you wonder what he would look like post-transformation in blue fur mode.

Rumors have been flying about Henry Cavill potentially joining the MCU, so fans are naturally casting him in various roles. Beast seems like as good of a fit as any. Fans have long been waiting for the X-Men to be properly introduced in the MCU, especially after Disney acquired Fox and the rights to use the characters. We’ve been teased a few times with the X-Men’s proper entrance since the acquisition. First, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness brought back Patrick Stewart as Professor X, though he was quickly killed off. Ms. Marvel also was revealed to be a mutant and an episode of She-Hulk included a Wolverine Easter Egg. The highly-anticipated Deadpool threequel will also be taking place in the MCU. It seems like it’s only a matter of time before the X-Men are more than just a tease.

There is a lot of mystery around Henry Cavill’s superhero career at this point. While fans are eagerly casting him in Marvel roles, no one is even sure if he’s done playing Superman for DC. Rumors indicated that he was possibly going to show up at San Diego Comic-Con and make a splashy announcement, but that never came to fruition. Ben Affleck is confirmed to reprise his role as Batman, so hopefully, we’ll get Cavill returning as Superman as well. Time will tell how that all pans out. Meanwhile, Cavill is staying plenty busy with other projects.

While we might not see Henry Cavill as a Marvel or DC character anytime soon, we will get to see him reprise his role as a character from classic literature in Enola Holmes 2, which is set for release on November 4. Millie Bobbie Brown returns as Enola Holmes, the younger sister of Cavill’s Sherlock. In the sequel, Enola is now a detective-for-hire and takes her first official case to find a missing girl. Enola Holmes 2 also stars David Thewlis, Helena Bonham Carter, Louis Partridge, Adeel Ahktar, Hannah Dodd, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Susan Wokoma, and more.

Henry Cavill will also be appearing in Argylle, a film by director Matthew Vaughn about the world’s greatest spy. The film is based on the book by Elly Conway and adapted by Jason Fuchs. Argylle will also star Bryce Dallas Howard, Bryan Cranston, Sam Rockwell, Samuel L. Jackson, Catherine O’Hara, John Cena, Ariana DeBose, Dua Lipa, Rob Delaney, and Jing Lusi. Argylle is expected to release sometime in 2023. While we wait to see Henry Cavill return to the screen, we can always continue to guess what role he’ll possibly play in the MCU — if he ends up playing a role at all.
