Best Heist Movies On Netflix
To say that heist movies are a dime a dozen would be a crime. This genre of action movies has been a hit for decades with no signs of stopping. They are action-filled with a cleverness that can be extremely complex or downright silly. Needless to say, they a wholly entertaining and Netflix has a few that will certainly keep your attention.
The heist movie is a well-worn genre. It’s a base that no matter how far off you go, and as you’ll see, Zack Snyder goes a long way off, the heist is always there to keep things ultimately grounded.
Let’s take a look at a few wonderful heist movies on Netflix.
Best Heist Movies on Netflix
Triple Frontier (2019)
Triple Frontier is a solid heist movie on Netflix that stars Ben Affleck and Oscar Isaac. Directed by J. C. Chandor, it tells the story of five former U.S. Army Delta Force soldiers who reunite and plan the heist of a South American crime lord.

He convinces his ex-military mates to join him in stealing the money in this heist movie. When they finally figure out where it is, they discover that there isn’t $75 million like they were promised, but instead $250 million. Now they have to make it out alive. Charlie Hunnam, Garrett Hedlund, and Pedro Pascal round out the five.

Army of the Dead (2021)
There are heist movies, then there are zombie heist movies. Director Zack Snyder, who began his directing career with the gory remake of George A. Romero’s Dawn of the Dead, went for broke with his 2021 crazy heist story, Army of the Dead.
After Las Vegas is overrun by zombies, the government decides to wall the city to keep them from getting out. Their plan is to then nuke the city to wipe them all out, thusly wiping out all the casinos and money inside its vaults.
One casino owner does not want his money lost, so he hires mercenaries to get inside the city, retrieve his money from a vault that may be impenetrable, and bring it back to him.
Those who survive will get a nice reward of their own. Dave Bautista stars as Scott Ward, the leader of the mercenaries. Snyder spares no expenses on the big set pieces and offers enough blood, guts, and gore that would make the late zombie meister Romero proud.

The Italian Job (2003)
Director F. Gary Gray calls his 2003 heist movie “an homage to the original.” Gray is talking about the 1969 British heist film in which they share the same name. Other than that, though, the story differs greatly.
Here we have Mark Wahlberg starring as Charlie Croker, master thief and leader of the group pulling off a heist in Venice, Italy. While the heist goes as planned, one of the crew decides to turn on the rest, leaving them for dead and stealing the gold for himself.
Now Croker and the rest of his crew must come up with another heist plan to get the gold back. Charlize Theron, Edward Norton, Seth Green, Donald Sutherland, and Jason Statham also star in this heist movie.

Heat (1995)
Michael Mann wrote and directed this thrilling heist movie that pitted two Hollywood heavyweights against each other. Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino only shared a few moments of screentime together (they were top-notch moments) in a story that followed career criminal Neil McCauley (DeNiro) when his heist of an armored car doesn’t quite go as planned.
After multiple deaths, LAPD Lieutenant Vincent Hanna (Pacino) gets involved and the manhunt is on. This tense heist movie also stars Val Kilmer, Ashley Judd, Amy Brenneman, Tom Sizemore, and Jon Voight.

Bullet Train (2022)
Bullet Train is a tremendously entertaining heist movie that stars an ensemble cast but is led brilliantly by Brad Pitt. This action comedy has Pitt playing Ladybug, an assassin who is having a crisis of conscience about what he does for a living attributing to his anxiety and feeling of being unlucky.
Even with all of that going on, Ladybug accepts the “simple” job of retrieving a briefcase that is on a Japanese bullet train departing from Tokyo to Kyoto. Soon after boarding, Ladybug finds out that he isn’t the only one wanting the briefcase as four other assassins are searching for the same item.
The ensemble cast of this heist movie includes Joey King, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Andrew Koji, Hiroyuki Sanada, Michael Shannon, and Sandra Bullock.
