See Gal Gadot In Full Starfleet Uniform As Star Trek’s Newest Captain
Check out what Gal Gadot could look like as a captain on Star Trek.
Gal Gadot has been rumored for the last several months to boldly go where no one has gone before. That is to say, a new Star Trek film, which our trusted and proven sources tell us is happening, though the film is currently still in Hollywood limbo.
Thanks to the use of AI art composition, we can get a glimpse of what the famed Wonder Woman actress would look like as Star Trek’s newest captain, via GFR’s official Instagram account.
The concept art allows us to envision Gal Gadot in the role of a space captain, which many fans would be overjoyed to see. Despite the already stunning star power in the current roster of the Star Trek film series, adding Gadot to the film alongside the likes of Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, and Simon Pegg would certainly provide a boost at the box office.
Adding Gal Gadot would also be a huge win for the Star Trek franchise, which hasn’t seen a new film installment since 2016’s Star Trek Beyond. The Kelvin timeline films, referring to the three films produced by J.J. Abrams, had a planned fourth installment which continues to be on hold as the studio searches for the right director.
Originally, Matt Shakman was prepared to helm the film, but scheduling conflicts forced him to bow out in favor of directing the first Fantastic Four film to enter into the MCU.
This search for a director continues to leave the film out of active development, but perhaps the significant push from fans clamoring to see Gal Gadot take to the stars can steer the film back onto the rails. After all, it would be a pleasure to see the actress reunite on screen with her Wonder Woman 1984 co-star Chris Pine, as well as the talented cast of Star Trek alumni not yet confirmed to return. Gadot could certainly bring some additional star power to the film with the news of her casting, as she has seven films in active development right now according to IMDb.
Among the films currently slated to arrive from the Justice League heroine are a third Wonder Woman film, an untitled sequel to 2021’s Red Notice starring Ryan Reynolds, and a live-action Snow White film scheduled for release in 2024. With Gal Gadot portraying the evil queen in Snow White, many people are wondering if she’ll be flexing her antagonist muscles again when the wheels finally kick into motion in the upcoming Star Trek film, though she does look quite fit to command the Starfleet as a captain.
Playing back-to-back iconic villain roles would certainly bring another dimension to her A-list status as one of the comic’s most beloved heroes.
So this begs the question, despite this AI art that proves Gal Gadot was born to command a starship, would she make a good fit for the Borg Queen instead? Perhaps she’d be well cast as a Romulan princess, given her propensity for playing royal characters on the big screen? For now, only time will tell.
