Before Gal Gadot was the internationally-known actress she is today, she was a model and winner of the Miss Israel beauty pageant. When she hits fans with an Instagram post like this, it’s not hard to see why. Gadot stuns in this photoshoot, donning a sleek black trench coat in a moody black and white setting.
Gal Gadot is now known around the world as Wonder Woman in the DC Film Universe, but those modeling skills certainly don’t go away. It’s unclear when exactly we’ll get to see Gadot reprise her role as Wonder Woman again, but Gadot and director Patty Jenkins have mentioned to Forbes that they’re working on a script for the third Wonder Woman movie.
Gal Gadot’s last foray as Wonder Woman didn’t go quite as planned, as Wonder Woman 1984 didn’t live up to fan expectations and the high bar set by Gadot’s first Wonder Woman film. With Warner Discovery making major changes to the DC Film Universe, including canceling the finished Batgirl movie, it seems like a lot of their future projects could be up in the air. Fortunately, it does seem like Wonder Woman 3 has a good chance of getting made.
While we know Gal Gadot best as an actor, she’ll soon be putting on her producer hat for a few upcoming projects. Gadot formed a production company called Pilot Wave with her husband Jaron “Yaron” Varsano in October 2019. Since then, she has co-produced Wonder Woman 1984 and the documentary series National Geographic Presents: Impact with Gal Gadot.
The next projects for Pilot Wave include a movie about WWII humanitarian Irena Sendler and an untitled Apple TV+ series about actress and inventor Hedy Lamarr. Irena Sendler will also star Gal Gadot in the titular role, as it follows Sendler’s life as a Polish nurse and a participant in the Polish Underground Movement in Warsaw. Gadot will also be starring as Lamarr in the Hedy Lamarr series.
Gadot will also be taking a villainous turn in an upcoming live-action adaptation of Disney’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Gal Gadot is set to play the Evil Queen in Snow White with Rachel Zegler playing the titular role. Marc Webb is directing the retelling and original songs are being written by the Tony Award-winning duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.
Gal Gadot will also be producing and starring in a film about the Egyptian queen Cleopatra. Cleopatra was originally going to feature Patty Jenkins in the director’s chair, but she dropped out and Kari Skogland is stepping in to replace her. Laeta Kalogridis writes the screenplay from a story by Gadot.
We might have to wait until 2023 to see Gal Gadot return to the big screen, but until then you can check out her most recent film Death on the Nile. Death on the Nile features the classic Agatha Christie character Hercule Poirot (Kenneth Branagh) as he investigates the murder of a young heiress during a Nile vacation. The film also starred Tom Bateman, Annette Bening, Russell Brand, Michael Rouse, Alaa Safi, Orlando Seale, and Charlie Anson.
