Fans Are Going Wild Over Adam Warlock’s Look In Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3
In arguably one of the biggest trailer drop days in recent history, the pop culture world was gifted the first look at Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, but mere minutes later, The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 trailer also dropped. The new MCU staple offered up a first look at the team’s new threads, Rocket’s origins, and the first appearance of Will Poulter’s Adam Warlock. Since the big reveal, fans have been taking to Twitter to voice their opinions on the design.
Culture Crave was kind enough to offer up a good screenshot of Poulter’s Adam Warlock, and if we are being completely honest, it is a bit of a letdown. Warlock always has this grandiose style while remaining gold and shiny, and this design just has him looking like a random member of the Guardians of the Galaxy. We are hoping that some part of his iconic look is shown in a further trailer, but this quick image is not the best.
An overdesigned costume might be a good way of putting it, as Adam Warlock does not look like his comic self. We do know that Marvel always takes plenty of creative chances with their characters, to varying degrees of success, but we can understand what this fan is getting at when stating it is “overdesigned.”
Going back to our point about Adam Warlock’s grandiose style is certainly speaking about the above image. Again, we know that the MCU has taken plenty of creative liberties with classic comic characters, but we certainly expected Poulter to look more like the above tweet.
We would all certainly like to see John Krasinski return as Reed Richards in the MCU, but he has apparently also lost his role as Adam Warlock. We would certainly like to know who would win in a fight: Warlock or Goldenface.
The above design of Adam Warlock is from the hit video game: Guardians of the Galaxy. We would certainly like to see Warlock look somewhat like this or the classic comic look that was shared in the earlier tweet. Again, the trailer we all saw was the first one, so we could be shocked later when Poulter comes flying in as a more comic-accurate-looking Warlock.
While we are certainly giving the screenshot a lot of flack we would have to also agree with the above tweet. We all certainly don’t know what Adam Warlock fully looks like, or what scene in the movie was used to showcase the screenshot of Poulter. Either way, we are hoping that there is going to be at least a cape involved.
This is a fair bet, and we all hope that Adam Warlock is going to look somewhat like this by the time the credits role on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3. We are all quick to judge images and screenshots but forget that they are not a representation of the entire movie itself.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be racing into theaters on May 5, 2023. There are sure to be far more trailers, TV spots, and promotional items that will reveal the full look of Will Poulter’s Adam Warlock. We don’t want to judge too early here but also hope that a more classic take on Warlock will come out too.
