Fans Are Furious About A Twilight Remake And Have A Lot To Say
Twilight fans are not happy about the news of a TV series remake.
After five movies, the vampire love story Twilight is getting a rebooted TV series. The new show is currently in development with Paramount, and it may be based on the novel Midnight Sun by original best-selling author Stephanie Meyer. While the news has some fans sparkling like Edward in the sunlight, others are taking to Twitter to share their distaste.

The Twilight Renaissance Twitter page claims that they’ve already made a reboot, which starred a look-alike cast of the Jersey Shore playing the lead roles of Edward, Bella, and Jacob. The account has been poking fun at the saga for years and is now getting tons of attention with the recent news.
Some users are upset to see the news of the reboot because they loved the original five films so much and feel that the new tv show won’t be able to live up to the movies. Bug feels that there’s no way the TV series will be able to capture the same chemistry that Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner had when they reunited in this scene.
Several users (like Heather) argue that there are other books that should be adapted into TV shows or films. Twilight already had its time to shine, so some people feel that now it’s time for other stories to be brought to life.
Heather also says that the only way they will watch the new Twilight show is if Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart tell her to watch it. That’s probably unlikely since the two stars have surpassed their roles in the teen drama saga and have both gone on to have very successful careers.

He starred alongside Willem Dafoe in the drama mystery film The Lighthouse and then Christopher Nolan’s confusing sci-fi film Tenant. The actor has now solidified his role as the newest Bruce Wayne in 2022’s The Batman.
Kristen Stewart also ventured far from the teen romance genre and her timid role as Bella Swan when she starred as the badass Joan Jett in 2010’s The Runaways and then again as the crew cut Norah Price in the sci-fi horror Underwater. Stewart recently made waves with her incredible performance as Princess Diana in Pablo Larraín’s 2021 drama biography Spencer.
Fans were quick to point out that the Harry Potter franchise is also getting a rebooted TV series. With this news coming so close to the Twilight TV series announcement, it’s causing some fans to lose their minds with excitement and others with anger.
