WandaVision is proving to be a vital building block and foundation in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The show is continuing to add all new dimensions to the superhero world and one aspect of that has been the character of Monica Rambeau. Originally introduced in Captain Marvel, Monica has now become a crucial player in the events of the Disney+ streaming series. Now, it looks like she is not going to be a minor player in the stores ahead. In fact, it sounds like she is going to be an extremely important figure in the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
According to our trusted inside source – the same one that gave us our confirmed exclusive scoops on Don Cheadle appearing as War Machine in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Josh Brolin returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Thanos – WandaVision‘s Monica Rambeau is set to appear in the upcoming sequel Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Exactly how sizable her role will be in the movie remains unclear, but it stands to reason that she is going to be a key player during this upcoming stretch of stories that feature the character of Wanda Maximoff a.k.a. Scarlet Witch.
WandaVision has certainly set up the expectation that Wanda is going to be a major architect for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it has also established that Monica is keeping herself deeply involved with Wanda’s story. With Monica establishing herself as the most prominent member of S.W.O.R.D., it makes sense to keep her as the figurehead character for that organization. And with S.W.O.R.D. proving to be the major agency that is trying to figure out the situation with Wanda, it makes sense that Monica would be sticking around her as much as she possibly could.
Since we know that WandaVision is going to be directly impacting at least two upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movies – Spider-Man 3 and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness – it is fair to assume that certain characters from that show will be popping up in one or both of those projects. We already know that Wanda will be featured in both of them, so Monica making an appearance as well is not a huge surprise. Now that we have this exclusive information about her showing up in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, we wonder if she will be doing the same in Spider-Man 3.
It is exciting to see just how much WandaVision is going to shape the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It has been such a weird and wild experience. Knowing that it will be building the foundations of this next run of Marvel stories is thrilling. And Monica Rambeau has already proven herself to be a thoroughly engaging character. The fact that she will be popping up in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is just another reason to get amped for that entry in the franchise. We can’t wait to see what other surprises are in store.
