Update: This Giant Freakin Robot She-Hulk: Attorney at Law exclusive was confirmed, and Jameela Jamil appeared in the series as Mary MacPherran / Titania.

She-Hulk is set to be one of the more interesting experiments when it comes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe branching out into streaming series on Disney+. The show will be introducing a brand new superhero to audiences and will gauge just how popular she can become before appearing in any of the major movies from Marvel Studios. Tatiana Maslany is set to star as Jennifer Walters a.k.a. She-Hulk and fans are certainly excited to see just what she will bring to the role. However, there has been mystery surrounding just who will end up being her main foe in the series. We decided to reach out to one of our trusted and proven insider sources to see if we could learn some more about the villain of the show, and we got some major information about who will be playing Jennifer’s nemesis.

Our source has passed along that The Good Place actress and host of The Misery Index Jameela Jamil has been cast to play the villain in She-Hulk. We were not able to confirm the exact character she is playing, but current reporting from The Illuminerdi has the character being codenamed “Lucy” and she is described as “a glamorous social media influencer, Kardashian-esque with a dark side.” That certainly sounds like the kind of character that is perfect for Jameela Jamil’s sharp-tongued comedic prowess and cutting demeanor. But what comic villain is she portraying? The biggest rumor is that it will be a new spin on Titania, one of She-Hulk’s most prominent adversaries in the comics.

It is going to be very interesting to see just how She-Hulk differentiates itself from the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe canon. The character is a lawyer and many have assumed the show will be something of a riff on legal dramas with superhero shenanigans thrown into the mix. Jennifer is supposedly going to cross paths with Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock in the series and that will definitely have fans in a tizzy if it comes to pass. But how will Jamella Jamil’s character factor into the story? Will she be a client of Jennifer’s that she is unable to win a case for? Or could Jennifer be on the opposing counsel against Jamil’s character and that is one of the reasons they become enemies? Or do they only cross paths as She-Hulk and Titania? There are a number of compelling directions this could go.

Regardless of exactly how their dynamic will work, it is exciting to announce that Jameela Jamil will be starring in the series alongside Tatiana Maslany. They are both extremely talented actresses who have a lot to offer the landscape of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Getting to see them square off both physically and mentally is now a big reason to be interested in She-Hulk. The show was already a major curiosity in the Marvel Cinematic Universe lineup, but the addition of her casting has now bumped it up to something even more special.

She-Hulk is currently in production and is slated to hit Disney+ in 2022.
