If you were a fan of Dwayne Johnson’s first season of the NBC series Young Rock, then you won’t have to wait long to see more. Dwayne Johnson recently took to Instagram to announce the Season 2 premiere on March 15 and show us some sneak peeks of what we have to look forward to. Check out the Instagram post below:

There’s certainly a lot to unpack in these slides. If you haven’t seen Young Rock yet, it follows Dwayne Johnson in various stages of his life. We see a ten-year-old Rock, played by Adrian Groulx, a 15-year old Rock, played by Bradley Constant, and an 18-20-year old Rock, played by Uli Latukefu. We also get a 2032 version of The Rock played by Dwayne Johnson himself, as he goes on the campaign trail for President. In the Instagram post, we see the various versions of The Rock in action. The first pic is of a younger Rock in the wrestling ring, which looks like it will be a primary focus in Season 2. We also see more pics of current-day Dwayne Johnson with co-star Randall Park, some screenshots of Rock as a little kid, and a screenshot of him on the football field.

Young Rock has been very well-received and fans have loved getting a glimpse into Dwayne Johnson’s entire life story. On Rotten Tomatoes, the show has a very impressive 90% critic’s score and 89% audience score. The first season largely avoided the subject of Dwayne Johnson’s pro career in the WWE, but supposedly the new season will depict his rookie year. Still, that doesn’t mean other wrestling legends haven’t made an appearance on the show. In season one alone, fans were treated to episodes with Andre the Giant (Matthew Willig), The Iron Sheik (Brett Azar), and Macho Man Randy Savage (Kevin Makely). It’s definitely bittersweet for fans to see the portrayals of some of these late legends. Hopefully, we’ll get to see some more WWE stars in future episodes. If the show does end up following his rookie year, we have no doubt there will be plenty left to see.

In addition to Season 2 of Young Rock, Dwayne Johnson has plenty of projects going on as always. He has two DC movies coming out in 2022. The first will feature his voice in the DC League of Super-Pets which comes out May 20. Johnson will be playing Superman’s reliable super dog Krypto with a star-studded cast that includes Kevin Hart, Vanessa Bayer, Natasha Lyonne, Diego Luna, John Krasinski, Keanu Reeves, and more. His other project will be live-action, letting Johnson put that towering physique to good use as the super-powerful Black Adam. Black Adam releases July 29 and will see Johnson’s anti-hero going up against the Justice Society of America, which counts Atom Smasher, Hawkman, Cyclone, and Dr. Fate amongst its members.

In short, there’s a whole lot of Dwayne Johnson content to look forward to. Make sure to check out Season Two of Young Rock when it hits NBC on March 15.
