Doctor Strange Was To Become Iron Man, They Filmed It And You Can See Him In Robert Downey Jr.’s Armor
The Russo Brothers had bigger plans for Doctor Strange in Avengers: Infinity War. In fact, plans were so big, they actually filmed a scene, which sadly didn’t make the final cut. These plans had Benedict Cumberbatch wearing the Iron Man suit in an alternate version when Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man and Spidey save him from Ebony Maw.

This actually happens in the comics, sort of. There, in Savage Avengers #9, Doctor Strange gets Iron Man armor which saves his life. He becomes Iron Mage.

However, while most likely he would have gotten the armor from Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark in Avengers: Infinity War, here he gets it from Dr. Doom, of all people.
