Disney+ Just Removed A Bunch Of Marvel Studios Programs
Disney and Marvel have randomly removed many episodes of the Marvel Studios: Assembled series.
In recent years, Disney and Marvel have been pretty good pals, with Disney+ becoming the official home for numerous MCU shows and movies. According to ScreenGeek, though, there may be something fishy going on behind the scenes. Suddenly, and for no explicable reason, six episodes of Marvel Studios: Assembled have disappeared from Disney+.
For those readers who may not be Marvel superfans, Marvel Studios: Assembled is a documentary series that gives viewers an in-depth look at the creation of MCU shows and films. It has been on Disney+ since 2021, but now that we are approaching 2023, Disney seems to have removed this Marvel offering from the streaming service – if only in part.
The series itself still remains on Disney’s high-profile streaming platform, but six of the episodes have been removed. The episodes focusing on Marvel’s WandaVision, Loki, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Black Widow, What If…?, and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings are all missing… which is pretty strange, seeing as almost all of these shows and movies are still really popular at the moment.
But before we all go jumping to conclusions and conspiracy theories, there may be an explanation for this. Disney+ released the six episodes mentioned earlier as a full-on series, as opposed to later episodes, which were released individually and spaced out over time. According to The Direct, it may be possible that Disney is just reorganizing its Marvel content. It could either turn all the episodes into one series and list them as such on the platform, or it may break them up and list them all individually.
It is still just conjecture, but the removal of these episodes by Disney is most likely temporary. It is in their best interest to make sure that viewers can find all their Marvel content easily since MCU fare is always a hot commodity on the streaming service.
Marvel Studios: Assembled was released on Disney’s platform during what is referred to as Marvel’s Phase 4. The series will release one more “surprise” episode on December 28 that will delve into one of Phase 4’s later projects, but it has not yet been revealed just which movie or show that will be.
Phase 5 of the MCU will start next year, with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania hitting theaters on February 17, 2023. It is believed that Disney will then be adding more Marvel Studios: Assembled episodes to discuss it and the other films and shows on Marvel’s 2023 schedule.
In the meantime, Disney has lots of other Marvel content to offer on its streaming service. Older films like Iron Man can be found here, as can all of the Avengers films, as well as most of the films with the various individual Avengers characters in them, such as Thor and Black Widow. If you’re looking for a series, you can find WandaVision, She-Hulk, Loki, and What If…? there as well, with the last two getting new seasons in 2023.
So, even if a few episodes of Marvel Studios: Assembled have mysteriously disappeared for the moment, there is no need to fear. They will most likely be back soon, and Disney and Marvel fans still have plenty of content to keep them busy until then.
