Disney and Warner Bros Discovery are surprisingly working together to bring consumers the Disney+, Hulu, and Max streaming bundle that will run $16.99 per month for the ad-supported tier and $29.99 per month for the ad-free version. This actually saves a decent chunk of change if you’re paying for each service separately, with the ad-supported versions costing $25.97 separately and the ad-free versions costing $47.97 total. This bundle has been reported since May, but now it seems that it’s finally coming to fruition.

Not The Only Streamers Playing This Game

Disney+

The Disney, Hulu, and Max streaming bundle is hardly the only streaming services joining forces to entice consumers to get on board for more than just a single service. Comcast previously announced a bundle that allowed Xfinity customers to combine Netflix, Peacock, and Apple TV+. It’ll be interesting to see what other services might join forces in the future, as it would be nice if we could just bundle as we please rather than only have access if the companies are willing to play ball with each other.

Not Much Else Is Known Outside Of Price-Points

In any case, the Disney, Hulu, and Max bundle will at least save customers some money if you want to combine your services, especially if you’re a sports fan with ESPN offering live sports streaming later this year. Unfortunately, it’s not quite clear yet what exactly these bundles will entail outside of the ad-free and ad-supported prices. Presumably, they’ll all stream in at least 1080p, but it hasn’t been announced if 4K will be available for bundle buyers or how many users will be able to log in to each service per household.

Adding Prestige Programming Through Max

Since Disney owns Hulu, customers of both services have already been able to combine their experiences previously, but Max is a pretty big add-on bonus, and the reverse can be said if you’re just a Max subscriber who wants to add the other two. Max gives streamers access to major prestige shows like House of the Dragon and The Last of Us along with legacy HBO shows like The Sopranos. Plus, you get access to other Warner Bros Discovery, like animated and live-action DC shows and films.

So Many Options But Not Enough Screens

Meanwhile, Hulu has tons of reality TV, competition shows, and concurrent streaming episodes of shows like The Bear, Shogun, and many more. With Disney you, of course, get access to plenty of Disney and Pixar films along with films and new shows from Marvel and Star Wars. All in all, it seems like the Disney, Hulu, and Max bundle might be one of the best streaming deals out there if you’re purely looking at the amount and variety of content.

Will This New Bundle Be Able To Usurp The Almighty Netflix?

It’s nice to see streaming bundles like Disney, Hulu, and Max make it a little easier to put all of your streaming services under one bill, but it seems like a choose-your-own-bundle situation is far off. Netflix is the largest streamer in the world and seems like it doesn’t care to partner with other streaming services, unless you’re able to get a bundle deal through your phone plan or some other consumer bonus program. In the meantime, you can sign up for the new bundle now.
