Deadpool & Wolverine is now less than a month away before its theatrical debut and fans are eagerly awaiting to see what kind of surprises this long-awaited team up has in store. But Marvel decided to give fans another little morsel to look forward to by revealing the movie will see the return of Sabretooth! While that alone is exciting, even more thrilling is that it is Tyler Mane returning to play the character, who first did so in the original X-Men from 2000.

Deadpool & Wolverine hits theaters July 26.

Mane, now 57-years-old, debuted in the same X-Men film as Hugh Jackman, so seeing them reunite to reprise their characters is a definite crowd-pleaser. In the new teaser for Deadpool & Wolverine showing off the confrontation, Deadpool acknowledges what a big deal this is.

Tyler Mane is the first actor to play Sabretooth in live-action. Liev Schreiber picked up the role in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

As Wolverine and Sabretooth prepare to square off once more, Deadpool interrupts to pull a few swords and knives out of Wolverine’s body, informing Logan he needs to look his best for this big moment.

In X-Men Origins: Wolverine Sabretooth was recast as Liev Schreiber. While Schreiber did a fine job in the role, Marvel fans do have long memories and are happy to see Mane return to the role after 24 years.

Plus, given the multiverse nature that is sure to play a factor in Deadpool & Wolverine, it is not even off the table that we could potentially even see both versions of Sabretooth show up.

There have been tons of rumors about who exactly may be showing up in Deadpool & Wolverine. Theories have ranged from the possibility of us seeing Gambit, a recast version of Kang the Conqueror, and even Taylor Swift.

In Spider-Man: No Way Home, everyone involved denied the inclusion of Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire in the movie, with the trailers even going so far as to digitally remove their characters from certain scenes. So regardless of who Marvel says will not be in Deadpool & Wolverine, the only true way to know will be to see the movie when it comes out.

Tyler Mane played Michael Myers in the Rob Zombie directed Halloween films.

In addition to the nostalgia value of Tyler Mane returning, he still cuts quite an imposing figure even at 57. The actor is listed as being 6’9, making him legitimately tower over many other actors.

That is likely what got him cast as Michael Myers in the Rob Zombie versions of the Halloween horror movies. The Deadpool & Wolverine teaser cuts just before Wolverine and Sabretooth’s clash, but it should be a fun fight.

Another tidbit from the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer is that this version of Wolverine seems to be filled with regret for his past decisions. During the trailer he is denounced as somebody who let down his entire world, and Logan refers to himself as being no hero.

Given the climactic end we saw for Jackman’s character in Logan, it will be very interesting to see where his character growth leads next.

Deadpool & Wolverine will be in theaters on July 26.
