Saw Star To Play Santa In Disney Holiday Movie
Danny Glover is playing a little bit of a happier role this time around in Disney Channel and Disney+’s The Naughty Nine. As reported by Deadline, instead of taking on Detective David Tapp, Glover will take on jolly ol’ Santa Claus.
The Naughty Nine is Disney’s newest heist comedy holiday movie, premiering on November 22. The movie will first premiere on Disney Channel, with plans to add it on Disney+ later.

The movie centers on a rag-tag group from Santa’s “naughty list” who don’t receive Christmas gifts one year. In an act of revenge, Andy (played by Winslow Fegely) pulls together a gang of rag-tag naughty kids to get the presents they feel they deserve.
As the trailer describes, the team consists of “a gymnast, an adorable innocent, an animal whisperer, a master of disguise, a pilot … and a getaway driver”.
You can think of this movie as Oceans Eight meets The Bad Guys– mixed with a pixie dust of holiday cheer. Disney has scored with heist movies such as National Treasure in the past, so it’ll be interesting to see what The Naughty Nine will bring.
As the heist happens, Andy and the crew realize that the naughty list isn’t a life sentence but rather a way to recognize that they need to do better. As they infiltrate Santa’s Village, they learn the true meaning of Christmas and learn life lessons along the way.
