The Most Beautiful Horror Epic In Decades Gets Jaw-Dropping New Releases Fans Need

Accompanying the breathtaking visuals of Crimson Peak is the original 7.1 DTS: X audio. The 2.0 DTS Headphone: X audio option caters to those seeking a more personal cinematic experience. The audio options ensure that audiences can fully appreciate the film’s atmospheric soundtrack and spine-chilling sound design.

The upgraded release of Crimson Peak also offers optional English subtitles for the hearing impaired, as well as a Descriptive Video Service (DVS) for the visually impaired. The addition of an audio commentary by co-writer and director Guillermo del Toro provides viewers with a unique opportunity to gain insights into the creative process behind the movie and its visual symbolism.

The limited edition also includes a treasure trove of bonus features, such as a feature-length documentary called The House is Alive: Constructing Crimson Peak, featuring interviews with the cast and crew along with extensive behind-the-scenes footage.

The book features writings by David Jenkins and Simon Abrams, an archival interview with Guillermo del Toro, and original conceptual design illustrations by Guy Davis and Oscar Chichoni.

Crimson Peak revolves around Edith Cushing (Mia Wasikowska), an aspiring author who falls in love and marries Sir Thomas Sharpe (Tom Hiddleston).

Thomas takes Edith to his family estate, Allerdale Hall, a dilapidated mansion with a history of dark secrets. Once there, Edith begins to uncover the mysteries surrounding the Sharpe family, including the ghostly apparitions that haunt the mansion.

The film combines elements of romance, horror, and mystery with Guillermo del Toro’s signature visual style and gothic storytelling. Crimson Peak received praise for its stunning visuals, atmospheric design, and the performances of the cast, which included Jessica Chastain as Lucille Sharpe.
