Thor: Love and Thunder is set to make its debut on July 8th, and there is plenty of buzz around the film already. This new MCU entry marks the second of fan-favorite director, Taika Waititi. It also sees Natalie Portman return to the franchise to reprise her role as Janes Foster, and she is set to become The Mighty Thor. With growing rumors about the film’s length, cameos, and potential Marvel continuity implications, the film is being talked about by plenty of people. Now, a new record will be set by the film, as the PG-13 rating has revealed some shocking elements. Most MCU films have that same rating, but Thor: Love and Thunder has been rated as PG-13 for containing, “partial nudity.” This likely means we are going to see more of Chris Hemsworth.

Fans are likely wondering where this partial nudity is going to take place in the film, but it may have already been revealed to us. The trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder has come out already, and with that, more TV spots have also been released that feature different nuggets of scenes from the film. One such scene involves Russel Crowe as Zeus, flicking the clothes right off Thor (Chris Hemsworth), for the onlookers at whatever palace or arena he has been taken to. The backside of the God of Thunder is shown for a moment but obviously blurred. That is likely the case where we will see the first instance of partial nudity in the MCU.

Oddly enough, we have seen partial nudity in Thor: Ragnarok. However, considering it was the CGI version of The Hulk, which showed his big green butt, that was likely not as bad to the film rating commission. More can happen in films if the characters are animated versions instead of being real. At least that is how we feel about it. Apart from bringing back the fan favorite Korg character, whom Taika Waititi voices, it is good to see the director stick to some of his best practices. We guess one of those practices has to do with showing off some character’s butt. Thor: Love and Thunder will now be no different than its predecessor, and it is now Chris Hemsworth’s turn.

Thor: Love and Thunder follows Thor (Chris Hemsworth) as he processes the fighting that he has been a part of for years. Through the trailers, he seems to be a man on a mission to discover who he truly is, and if he is still worthy to wield Mjolnir. That is likely not the case, as Jane Foster now holds the hammer. However, Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale) has appeared and has sworn to kill every god that he can with his Necrosword. Thor must find all the help he can get, including from the Guardians of the Galaxy.

As previously mentioned, Thor: Love and Thunder is set to premiere in theaters on July 8th. The newest MCU film will reunite Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson, and Taika Waititi. Newcomers for the film and MCU include Russell Crowe and Christian Bale. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for Thor, and fans of Hemsworth can be happy to know they could be potentially seeing more of the man than ever before.
