Chris Hemsworth doesn’t often share photos of his children, but when he does, he makes it count. In his latest video for social media, the proud dad showed off his son’s new skill. While Hemsworth himself has played Thor for the Marvel Cinematic Universe for over a decade, his Instagram updates show that his children lean more toward other heroes. This time around, the young Hemsworth proved he has what it takes to join Hawkeye’s side in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

See Chris Hemsworth’s son shoot a water bottle off his father’s head with a bow and arrow.

It’s unclear if Chris Hemsworth was being literal or exaggerating when he wrote in the caption that his son shot him in the back of the head 63 times before they got this winning shot. The actor suggests that viewers not try this one at home. He also says not to worry, the arrow was rubber. The first comment on the post was from Jeremy Renner, who plays Hawkeye (Clint Barton) for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His comment was simply one emoji repeated three times: a bow and arrow.

Chris Hemsworth shares three children with his wife, Elsa Pataky. Earlier in 2021, the Marvel star shared another Instagram post with one of his children photographed from behind, showing off the red cape he wore. In the caption, Chris Hemsworth shared that he asked his son what he wanted to be when he grew up. He said, “Superman”. Brutally, not only is Superman another hero, he’s from DC. Chris Hemsworth jokingly shared that he had two other children. It’s unclear whether the son who shot the arrow off his head is the same child who also wants to be Superman.

Adding to the rough day for Chris Hemsworth when he shared this particular post, commenters immediately focused on his thin legs. His brother, Liam Hemsworth, jumped in the comments asking if his strong-armed brother was skipping leg day again. Some defended the star, who sells his own workout program, by suggesting that the angle of the photo was responsible.

When the above photo was taken, Chris Hemsworth was in Australia filming Thor: Love and Thunder. That movie has seen a bit of a delay, but is scheduled to release in movie theaters on July 8, 2022. The film will see Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster return at this side. It’s being helmed by Taika Waititi, who worked with Hemsworth previously to create Thor: Ragnarok.

Currently, Chris Hemsworth is filming Extraction 2 for Netflix. The sequel’s brief teaser has already confirmed that his character, Tyler Rake, is alive and well. Recent photos have shown him filming in Prague, where the ground is covered in snow and Hemsworth’s face is covered in blood. The story is promising to change up its setting, but keep its brutal story line. On most of his recent projects, Hemsworth ahs been able to stay close to home in Australia, which works well for his family life. Unfortunately, lockdown measures in the country led to the decision to move production. His recent Instagram photos have shown his family in Europe, so hopefully they’re finding a way to make it work.
