As for Chloe Bennet, she was last seen in Marvel gear in 2020 when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D was ending its seven-season run. In the series finale, Daisy was traveling through space with Daniel Sousa (Enver Gjokaj) and her sister Kora (Dianne Doan) leading fans to think that Quake and crew had moved on from S.H.I.E.L.D.

“I wish.” Those were the two words that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D actor Chloe Bennet tweeted out in a response to our own scoop regarding her return to the MCU as Daisy Johnson a.k.a Quake. Your wish, Ms. Bennet, has been granted.
FandomWire, as well as Popcorned Planet, have now confirmed what we previously learned from our trusted insiders: that despite Chloe Bennet attempting to have us look the other way, she will in fact be returning to the MCU in the upcoming Disney+ Secret Invasion series. Not only will Bennet return as Quake, but it can also be reported that Clark Gregg will be returning as fan favorite Agent Phil Coulson for a possible role in the new Marvel series.
Marvel President Kevin Feige announced Secret Invasion (along with many other Marvel projects) at the 2020 Disney Investor Day, thrilling all by saying that Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn as Skrull Talos will headline the series. While details of the series are minimal at best, the limited comic book storyline followed a plot that had Skrulls secretly replace some of the world’s mightiest heroes. With Chloe Bennet’s Quake and Gregg’s Coulson returning to duty, it looks like that storyline will be what plays out for Marvel fans.
The news of Chloe Bennet and Clark Gregg’s reappearance in the MCU comes on the heels of Charlie Cox also rejoining the MCU as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, another fan favorite, who is expected to see time in the upcoming Spider-Man 3 movie as Peter Parker’s lawyer and who is also rumored to be joining the cast of Secret Invasion.
As for Chloe Bennet, she was last seen in Marvel gear in 2020 when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D was ending its seven-season run. In the series finale, Daisy was traveling through space with Daniel Sousa (Enver Gjokaj) and her sister Kora (Dianne Doan) leading fans to think that Quake and crew had moved on from S.H.I.E.L.D. to S.W.O.R.D which would align with Secret Invasion. If you recall, both Nick Fury and Talos appeared to be working for S.W.O.R.D in Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Those of you who have intimate knowledge of the Secret Invasion storyline from the comics know that it was a big event, one that showcased many more Marvel superheroes than even Avengers: Endgame. So it was fair for ComicBook to ask Feige if the upcoming Secret Invasion would carry that same large, epic scope. “Well, there were more characters in the Secret Invasion comic series than there were in Endgame so, no,” Feige admits. “It’s not that but it very much is a showcase for Sam Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn and tapping into the paranoia elements of the Secret Invasion comic series that was great with the twists and turns that that took. So, that’s certainly our focus more than, ‘Can we cram in more characters than Endgame? like publishing?’”
That leaves so many unanswered questions but trust us (we surely have gained your trust by now), it is all done by design. Feige doesn’t want to give away his secrets for Secret Invasion, just like Chloe Bennet didn’t want to give away her return to the MCU. Of course, we’ll still dig away at finding out what we can and pass it along as soon as we know.
