Brie Larson is not afraid to express herself on social media. Whether it’s showing off her love for Disney Parks or just giving a bit of a life update, the Captain Marvel actress appears to love interacting with her fans online and making them a part of her life. She recently appeared on social media again wearing a baby blue blouse.
The Instagram pic evokes a feeling of spring despite everyone heading toward the cold winter months. The floral pattern in the background is an excellent addition to the pic and goes well with what Brie Larson is wearing. While the actress certainly isn’t feeling blue, she does have a taste for the color.
Of course, there isn’t any reason for Brie Larson to feel blue nowadays. She’s set to star in the upcoming MCU project, The Marvels. It will serve as a follow-up to the very successful Captain Marvel film in 2019.
The Marvels sees Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel teaming with Ms. Marvel and Monica Rambeau. Captain Marvel made a brief cameo at the end of Ms. Marvel, appearing in Kamala Khan’s bedroom and looking quite confused. Many fans are speculating that Kamala Khan and Carol Danvers have switched bodies.
Candyman director Nia DaCosta was hired to direct the Marvel sequel. DaCosta does have some ties to the MCU, having worked with Thor: Love & Thunder actress Tessa Thompson on the director’s very first feature-length film Little Woman. She also worked with Monica Rambeau actress Teyonah Paris in the past, so it’ll be interesting to see how she can work with another top-tier actress like Brie Larson.
While The Marvels is getting much attention, there is some cause for concern. During Disney’s D23 Expo, Brie Larson was asked by Variety whether she could see herself playing Carol Danvers after The Marvels. Despite having been certain in past interviews that she’d continue to play the character for a long time, the actress seemed quite unsure when Variety asked the question, saying, “I don’t know. Does anyone want me to do it again?”
Brie Larson’s comments come after some fan’s displeasure with the first Captain Marvel film in 2019. When the film was released in theaters, critics claimed Carol Danvers didn’t have a distinctive personality and drew comparisons to Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, whom many loved for her warmth and enthusiasm. Regardless, the first film did significant business at the box office, becoming a billion-dollar hit for Disney and Marvel.
Brie Larson would follow up her debut in Avengers: Endgame, where she went toe-to-toe with Thanos. Her appearance in the last Avengers film in the Infinity Saga would end up being her last on the big screen. Her long theatrical absence will hopefully make fans want to see her again use her incredible powers, resulting in another billion-dollar win for Marvel.
We’ll have to wait and see what other shenanigans Brie Larson will be up to on social media. As 2023 draws near, perhaps Larson will tease what’s to come for Carol Danvers soon. If not, then at least we got her witty sense of humor to look forward to.
