Brie Larson is one actor who doesn’t seem to have any issue when it comes to finding work. Even before she made her MCU debut in 2019’s Captain Marvel, the star had already built up an impressive resume of movie and television show roles. And she has plenty more on the way including one having to do with augmented reality.

When an actor has so many projects going on simultaneously, it’s easy for some of the less talked about ones to slip under the radar. Case in point, Brie Larson stars in a short film called Remembering that premieres September 8th on Disney+, according to Deadline. The film’s release coincides with Disney+ Day, a celebratory event that will see multiple premieres hitting the streaming platform along with festivities taking place across the many Disney Parks.

Remembering is an eight-minute AR (augmented reality) short film that stars Brie Larson and is directed by Larson’s boyfriend, Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Elijah Allan-Blitz. In the movie, the actress plays a writer who has been blessed with an incredible idea only to lose grasp of it when the phone rings. The idea is represented as golden light and is pursued by the writer’s inner child who goes on an adventure through the extensive World of Imagination. An Augmented Reality app will accompany the film, giving select Disney+ subscribers in the United States a visually richer experience by simply scanning their television.

Brie Larson in Remebering

In addition to the new short film starring Brie Larson, other premieres subscribers can look forward to on Disney+ Day include a brand-new episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, the anticipated live-action adaptation of Pinocchio starring Tom Hanks as Geppetto, the new series Cars on the Road, and the docuseries Growing Up. It’s a day of celebration you don’t want to miss, and it will lead into D23 Expo: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event which takes place from September 9th through September 11th.

Although Remembering is only eight minutes in length, it’s all we have to look forward to from Brie Larson until The Marvels hits theaters next summer. The follow-up to Captain Marvel will see the return of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, as well as Teyonah Parris, who reprises her role as Monica Rambeau from WandaVision. Iman Vellani, Zawe Ashton, and Park Seo-Joon also star in the sequel which was directed by Nia DaCosta (Candyman). The Marvels is scheduled to arrive in theaters July 28th, 2023, and it will be the thirty-third film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And fans of Larson as Danvers should be pumped to know that she’ll also make an appearance in Avengers: Secret Wars at the end of Phase Six.

As for other upcoming projects, Brie Larson is currently shooting scenes for Fast X, which, if it isn’t obvious by the title, is the tenth installment in Universal Pictures’ explosive Fast and the Furious franchise. Also, Larson recently landed a starring role in an untitled biopic series that centers on a real-life CIA operative. As if the actress’ schedule isn’t hectic enough, she still manages to find time to show some skin on her off days.
