Captain America: Brave New World Reveals What We All Knew
Well Marvel fans, it’s finally here. After multiple setbacks and release date changes, the trailer for Captain America: Brave New World has arrived, and it’s – rather predictable. Of course, there are plenty of moments featuring Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson as the new Cap but a clip at the very end of the trailer solidifies the worst-kept secret in Marvel history as it unveils Harrison Ford’s Red Hulk. See the trailer for yourself below.
For a creature of Red Hulk’s stature, his appearance in the Captain America: Brave New World trailer is a rather small one as he pops in as sort of an afterthought in the final seconds.
Following massive production slowdowns, which resulted in copious amounts of reshoots, and scrambling on Marvel’s end, the movie’s hopeful release of October 2023 was dashed and is now set for a cinematic takeover on February 14, 2025.
Obviously, Marvel was trying to give audiences a pearl-clutching moment, but we’ve long known that Red Hulk would make his debut in the long-anticipated movie. Even McDonald’s was privy to the information after they dropped a line of Happy Meal toys a few months back that centered on the new Captain America flick and included a plush version of the jolly red giant.
As for the trailer, Captain America: Brave New World sees Mackie’s Sam Wilson walking a fine line between ally and enemy to the newly elected President, Thaddeus Ross (Harrison Ford). The pair have a different idea of what the way forward looks like for the American people and, although he’s hesitant to work alongside the political leader, Sam eventually complies.
This is incredibly lucky for the President as an international threat bent on the destruction of both him and the United States begins to take shots.

The Captain America: Brave New World teaser drops plenty of looks at Sam Wilson in full Captain America garb, using the shield as his protector and knocking bad guys on their butts. In a particularly heated and – quite frankly – uncalled-for moment, President Ross reminds Wilson that, while he may be the new Captain America, he’s no Steve Rogers. Pretty rude when you consider Sam’s out here putting his life on the line for you, Mr. President!
Perhaps the coolest bit happens when Sam combines his two monikers and busts out his Falcon wings to soar through the sky while in full Captain America regalia. We’d like to see Steve Rogers do that! All in all, the trailer for Captain America: Brave New World had everything we expected – plenty of action, tense encounters between Sam and the President, and Red Hulk.

Along with its two leading men, Captain America: Brave New World will also feature performances from Danny Ramirez (Top Gun: Maverick), Carl Lumbly (The Fall of the House of Usher), Tim Blake Nelson (Minority Report), Shira Haas (Unorthodox), Liv Tyler (The Strangers), Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), and more.
Captain America: Brave New World has been in the makings since 2021 when the Disney+ and Marvel series, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier came to an end.
