Even Brad Pitt Found All The Nudity In His New Movie With Margot Robbie Shocking
Brad Pitt was shocked by how much nudity is in his upcoming Babylon movie.
Hollywood is full of stories, telling eager fans tales of triumph, loss, redemption, and horror, all while inspiring them to dream for themselves and chase the glitter of Tinseltown. This is the backdrop for writer-director Damien Chazelle’s newest exploration of Hollywood, Babylon, starring Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Tobey Maguire, and Olivia Wilde. While Brad Pitt has been around long enough to see it all, in a red-carpet interview posted on Twitter, he revealed that even he was surprised at all the nudity on set.
In an interview done by The Hollywood Reporter, the Bullet Train actor was asked about the film’s craziness and what the craziest day was for him on set. Brad Pitt answered that the party scene was filmed for two weeks, and it was shocking even for him that there was so much nudity. He went on to say that by day three, he had gotten more used to the naked people around him and that, eventually, it just ended up being another day at work.
Brad Pitt isn’t new to nudity or shocking moments on screen, as he has filmed scenes in films like Se7en that shocked everyone and burned up the screen wearing very little in movies like Thelma and Louise and Troy. However, in 2007, when he was 43 and promoting his film, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, the actor vowed that he was finished with nudity. He claimed he didn’t want to be embarrassed when his children were old enough to see his films, saying that it was a young man’s game.
Since then, he has been going strong in some of the biggest films of the years with Quentin Tarantino‘s Inglorious Bastards, 12 Years a Slave, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Since then, he has also devoted a lot of time to produce, beginning in 2006 with Martin Scorcese’s The Departed, which starred past and future collaborators Leonardo DiCaprio and Matt Damon. Brad Pitt has 63 films on his production resume, with seven more on the docket for future release, and it’s safe to say he won’t be baring all with nudity in any of them.
Brad Pitt isn’t the only one in the production that isn’t a stranger to nudity; Margot Robbie’s big splash on American screens was in Martin Scorcese’s Leonardo DiCaprio biopic about financial scam artist Jordan Belfort, The Wolf of Wall Street. She appeared in the film to bear all on multiple occasions but proved to be more than eye candy with a stellar performance that endeared her to the hearts of audiences and launched a powerful film career that is still going strong.
Brad Pitt has had an excellent year, with Babylon and its nudity being the third release so far for the actor. He began the year by cameoing in Sandra Bullock‘s film, The Lost City, alongside her and Channing Tatum, then followed it up with this summer’s blockbuster hit, Bullet Train. You can check out Babylon when it hits theaters over the Christmas holiday if you don’t find massive party scenes with nudity hard to watch.
