The Best Jim Carrey Movies on Netflix
When looking for a great comedy flick, many head over to the Jim Carrey catalog. Over the years, Carrey has supplied laugh after laugh from Ace Ventura to The Grinch. Netflix has a few Jim Carrey movies that are sure to make you smile if not straight-out laugh out loud.
Here are the best Jim Carrey movies available to watch right now on Netflix.
Bruce Almighty (2003)
Be careful what you wish for. And so it goes for Bruce Nolan (Jim Carrey), a down-on-his-luck television reporter who feels like his life has no meaning. After being passed over for a coveted anchorman position, Bruce decides to take his complaints to God (Morgan Freeman) himself.
Bruce doesn’t believe it when God appears and he is less inclined to believe that God has just given him the ability to be God himself for one week. It’s not a job for the faint of heart, as Bruce hilariously finds out.

Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events (2004)
Of all the Jim Carrey films, this one might be his most underrated performance. In Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events, Jim Carrey plays the nefarious Count Olaf, who is after one thing – the Baudelaire family fortune.
When tragedy strikes the Baudelaire children – a mysterious fire destroys their mansion and kills their parents – the Count sweeps in to “care” for the children.
Carrey shines as Olaf as well as Stefano and Captain Sham. Emily Browning and Meryl Streep also star with Jude Law as the voice of Lemony Snicket.

The Cable Guy is a black comedy on Netflix that sees Jim Carrey’s Chip Douglas as the ultimate stalker. Chip is a cable installation specialist who finds a “preferred customer” in Steven Kovacs (Matthew Broderick) when Chip gives Steven free movie channels.
From then on, Chip makes sure Steven knows they are friends but when Steven finally finds Chip a bit too intrusive, he begins to shut Chip out. This does not make Chip happy and he goes about ruining Steven’s life.
The Cable Guy is directed by Ben Stiller, who also stars in the film, along with Leslie Mann, Jack Black, Owen Wilson, David Cross, Andy Dick, and Bob Odenkirk.

Jim & Andy: The Great Beyond (2017)
In 1999, Jim Carrey portrayed the late comedian Andy Kaufman in the Milos Forman film, Man on the Moon. It was a look at the life of the controversial comedian, who died at the young age of 35 from cancer.
During the filming of the movie, a camera crew followed Jim Carrey around to document his transformation into Kaufman, one that many close to the late comedian said held an uncanny resemblance.
This Netflix documentary takes a look back at Carrey’s performance (which he did not break character during the shoot) and also includes a current interview with Jim Carrey.
