Ben Affleck Just Got Confused For Matt Damon In A Donut Shop
Ben Affleck was humorously mistaken for Matt Damon in a Dunkin' Donuts commercial.
Ben Affleck and Matt Damon have been Hollywood best buds for a while now, so it’s not surprising Affleck decided to incorporate this into his new ad for Dunkin’ Donuts. Following his hilarious Super Bowl ad spot where he tried to work a Dunkin’ drive-thru (with a cameo wife from his wife Jennifer Lopez), Affleck is continuing his successful relationship with the Boston-based chain. Check out the ad spot below:
The ad sees Ben Affleck showing up at a Dunkin’ Donuts for the $1 Dunkin’ Run campaign, leading the employees to confuse him for Matt Damon. Affleck directed and created the ad for the beloved Boston donut shop, and he really lets the Boston accent fly in it too. It definitely seems likely we can expect more of these ads from the actor in the future.
Ben Affleck and Matt Damon broke out into the Hollywood scene together in spectacular fashion. The two wrote and starred in the fantastic Good Will Hunting, which featured a career-best performance from Robin Williams and stellar direction from Gus Van Sant. Their first collaboration also nabbed the pair of actors a Best Original Screenplay Oscar along with a slew of nominations and a win for Williams as well.
While Ben Affleck and Matt Damon have acted in plenty of movies together over the years, most recently in Ridley Scott’s The Last Duel, it’s always good to see the dynamic duo team up again. We won’t have long to wait to see the pair share the screen, as their next collaboration Air is dropping in theaters this week. Ben Affleck also directs the film with a script by Alex Convery.
Air tells the real-life story of shoe salesman Sonny Vaccaro courting Michael Jordan to make his historic shoe deal with Nike. Ben Affleck plays Nike co-founder and former CEO Phil Knight while Matt Damon plays Vaccaro. The cast is rounded out by Jason Bateman, Chris Messina, Viola Davis, Julius Tennon, Chris Tucker, Gustaf Skarsgard, and Damian Delano Young as Michael Jordan.
Along with their collaboration on Air, both Ben Affleck and Matt Damon have absolutely massive blockbusters coming out later in 2023. Affleck will once again be donning his cape as the Caped Crusader in the upcoming film The Flash. The Flash is due to hit theaters on June 16 and also stars Ezra Miller, Michael Keaton, Michael Shannon, Temuera Morrison, Kiersey Clemons, Sasha Calle, Ron Livingston, Maribel Verdu, and Antje Traue.
Meanwhile, Matt Damon is starring in another historical drama with Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer. The film follows Cillian Murphy as the titular atomic bomb scientist along with a star-studded cast that includes Emily Blunt, Robert Downey Jr, Florence Pugh, Gary Oldman, Josh Hartnett, Jack Quaid, Gustaf Skarsgard, David Dastmalchian, Alden Ehrenreich, Tony Goldwyn, Casey Affleck, Kenneth Branagh, Olivia Thirlby, and Rami Malek. While we wait for these two summer blockbusters, make sure to check out Ben Affleck and Matt Damon in Air this weekend.
