Bella Ramsey Says Game Of Thrones Fans Won’t Leave Her Alone
Bella Ramsey says she is still asked by fans what she thought of the end of Game of Thrones and that she has no strong opinions.
Prior to landing a prominent role in HBO Max’s adaptation of The Last of Us, Bella Ramsey was well known for portraying Lyanna Mormont on the wildly popular series Game of Thrones. The award-winning show ran for a total of eight seasons before concluding in May 2019, and many fans were so unhappy with the series finale, they’ve gone as far as to hound the series’ cast about their dissatisfaction. During a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Ramsey discussed how she handles conversations with viewers who were disappointed with the show’s ending. “People like to ask me what I thought of the end,” she said. The young actress admitted that she doesn’t really have an opinion about the way the show ended.
She went on to say, “I just let them either hate on it or talk about how great it was.” Bella Ramsey is well aware that the general consensus is that the Game of Thrones finale left a lot to be desired. Fortunately, she seems perfectly content with letting fans vent while she kicks back and listens.
Bella Ramsey also shared with the host what it was like to work on a huge show like Game of Thrones at 11 years old. She raved about her character’s amazing death in “The Battle of Winterfell.” Although the sequence was absolutely shocking for fans to witness, the young actress didn’t seem to be too phased by it.
Although the hit series premiered on HBO in 2011, Bella Ramsey didn’t appear as the fierce and outspoken head of House of Mormont of Bear Island, Lyanna Mormont, until much later in the show. The actress made her debut on Game of Thrones in the seventh episode of Season 6, which is titled “The Broker Man.” After that, she frequently appeared on the series until her savage death in the eighth season.
Bella Ramsey has found plenty of success in both television and film since her role on Game of Thrones. In fact, shortly after her character’s story came to an end on the HBO series, she landed a starring role in the hit show The Worst Witch. The fantasy program centers on a group of young witches hoping to perfect their craft at Cackle’s Academy.
Currently, Bella Ramsey stars as Ellie Williams in the television adaptation of the critically acclaimed video game The Last of Us. Like Game of Thrones, the series will air on HBO. The premiere episode, “When You’re Lost in the Darkness” is now streaming on HBO Max, and it introduces a bundle of characters whose lives are turned upside down by a mysterious outbreak in their hometown.
In addition to Bella Ramsey, the new drama stars Pedro Pascal, Gabriel Luna, Merle Dandridge, Jeffrey Pierce, Anna Torv, Murray Bartlett, and Nick Offerman. Ever since Game of Thrones concluded, HBO has been looking for a critical hit to fill the void, and it looks like The Last of Us has done just that. The series is currently certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, with a remarkable score of 98 percent.
