The recent cancellation of CW’s Batwoman has the show trending on social media. The fans clearly have a lot of love for the series and after being canceled after three seasons, they’re wanting more. In addition to Batwoman, the CW show Legends of Tomorrow was also canceled. It seems like fans are hoping for enough goodwill and petitioning will get the heads of WarnerMedia to find a way to bring them back.

If you’re wanting to join in on the movement to bring back these beloved series, the #SaveBatwoman and #SaveLegendsofTomorrow appear to be the calls to get the attention of the execs. While it doesn’t seem likely that Batwoman or Legends of Tomorrow could return to the CW network, fans are hoping that they could find a new home at HBO Max. Since HBO Max is also owned by WarnerMedia and already has several original DC series on their platform, this does seem like a natural fit. It’s not unheard of for a streaming platform to save a fan-favorite show, so maybe fans will get their wish.

Reportedly, WarnerMedia is looking to sell the CW network, so this could be a big factor in their decision to cancel Batwoman and Legends of Tomorrow. The CW has curated what is colloquially known as “the Arrowverse.” These interconnected DC shows on the CW started with 2012’s Arrow. Though Batwoman and Legends of Tomorrow wouldn’t be the first Arrowverse show to meet an early end, fans seem to be especially disappointed. Now the only Arrowverse shows still on the network are Superman & Lois and The Flash. Even The Flash is looking tenuous right now, as star Grant Gustin reportedly only signed on for one more season of the show. That doesn’t necessarily mean he won’t sign up for more after the season is over, but it could mean he’s looking to wrap things up on the CW show and look for new opportunities.

Batwoman initially followed Kate Kane taking on the role of the Dark Knight after the mysterious disappearance of her cousin, Bruce Wayne. Ruby Rose initially played the role before exiting the series. Javicia Leslie was then cast as Ryan Wilder, taking over the mantle and the lead role in the series. The series also starred Rachel Skarsten, Camrus Johnson, Meagan Tandy, Nicole Kang, Dougray Scott, and more. Legends of Tomorrow features a rotating cast of heroes and villains who traveled through time to save the universe. Legends of Tomorrow starred Caity Lotz, Amy Louise Pemberton, Dominic Purcell, Nick Zano, Brandon Routh, Tala Ashe, and more. With the unexpected cancellation of these two series, they both ended on unresolved notes. Fans are likely hoping that HBO Max can at least give them one more season to wrap up the story in a satisfying way.

For now, fans will have to settle for the CW shows that are still running. Otherwise, they could always head to HBO Max to check out the various DC shows they have there. Originals like Peacemaker, Doom Patrol, and Young Justice have all become favorites there, so at least DC fans have some TV shows to keep them entertained.
